For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? . . . Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; and ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s. 1 Corinthians. 3:1-23
This bible verse is often misinterpreted. When reading it, at simple view, it may seem to some that Paul is saying division among Christian denominations is carnal. Some go as far as to accuse their brethren of being carnal just because they expose false doctrines or false teachers, not realizing they are the ones acting in a carnal way. Others even say that Peter (Cephas) is the founder of the Catholic church & for that reason we should accept this denomination as part of the body, otherwise it would mean we are carnal or divisive.
We are going to use the same 4 steps mentioned previously, to study PSALM 23:
John 17:17 “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
Luke 11:28 “But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.”
Not all Bible versions are the same and the version we choose is critical for sound doctrine. When studying the Scriptures is always good to compare the version we are reading with other good translation, that will give us more understanding on some words, or you can also use a bible dictionary.
A proper understanding of the real meaning of spiritual authority is greatly needed. We in these posts make no attempt to deal exhaustively with this topic, but we just look to give some examples. At the end of the post we mention some good readings on the subject for those that need more information.
When we became Christians many years ago and started this blog (in Spanish), a Catholic priest wrote requesting from us the gift of silence or as he said: an ‘obsequious silence’ to the mistakes of the leaders of the Catholic Church, according to him the only true church etc . This misunderstanding of spiritual authority (looking to serve man or organization rather than God) is the reason many keep silence & tolerate spiritual abuse in this large denomination, as well in many others.
It’s that time of year again when the controversy of whether or not Christians should participate in Halloween begins to pop up. I found that some evangelical pastors, evangelist, singers, etc. are recommending Christians to not be afraid of participating in this holiday and some even say Halloween is really a ‘Christian’ holiday.
We should ask ourselves first, what is the origin of Halloween ? – As innocent as Halloween may seem to some, it is not something to be taken lightly. The Word of God give us some principles on which we can make a decision. 1 Cor. 10:31 says: ” Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God“. Do we glorify God by celebrating or participating in this holiday?
After finding some information regarding a well known international ministry, and their wrong views on spiritual authority, I decided to make this post. These problems show us how important sound doctrine is and how much harm wrong doctrines do to the body of Christ.
But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them. But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: (#G1249- Servant) And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Mark 10
There are many bible verses that have been misinterpreted or twisted by some institutions, using them wrongly to exercise lordship over God’s people, & keep them in bondage. The Word of God says in 1 Timothy 5: 1-2
There is a persistent attack to debilitate the Christian Church from with in, the enemy is not looking to completely destroy it, but to contaminate it & change it into something else, in order to use it for a different purpose for what it was really created. The way they are working to accomplish this is by bringing subtle false doctrines & infiltrating the church with many false teachers, that will call for ecumenical unity but will attack sound doctrine & those who defend it. They are not hiding their intentions:
Giving Praise to God through music

This post is an urgent call to prayer. I’m not a prophet… and have never pretended to be one. I’m just a watchman, an intercessor. But for many years the Lord has been showing me (as many others) through dreams and the Scriptures that judgment is coming. But this is not just about God’s judgment to the nations, this post is about judgment to His house, because before God judges the nations of the world, He’ll first begin to clean & bring order to His house .
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 1 Peter 4: 17-18
Last night I had a dream about the judgment that is soon to come, I felt so much anguish trying to warn the people in the dream, but for many it was to late, the people (as well as the church) is distracted, they didn’t want to listen, they were caught unaware, unprepared, they were busy. The church in general (except for a minority) is busy playing what they believe church is suppose to look like, but it has become a system full of programs and men’s agendas, and many have not noticed that their message is contaminated, that there is pride, that they look and behave more & more like the world, and that God’s presence has already departed from the midst of their gatherings.
Several months ago also while dreaming, I heard the word ‘SOFONIAS ‘ (Zephaniah in Spanish), just the name, it got nothing to do with what I was dreaming at the moment. I remembered when I woke up, but I got busy with my daily chores and forgot about it. Then 3 days later, very early in the morning it happened again, but this time as soon as I woke up, before even making breakfast, I went & looked for the book of Zephaniah, it has only 3 chapters. I don’t remember reading this book before and didn’t know what the book was about. But it talks about the judgment of God.
Zephaniah means “Hidden in the Lord, He whom Jehovah has hid” My study bible says that his name is connected with the ministry of Jesus Christ, the ‘Passover Lamb‘, & mentions the Passover in Egypt when God’s people hid in their houses marked with the blood of the lamb while passing God’s judgment (the plagues) on the land of Egypt. (This also reminded me of Isaiah 26:20 & Rev.18:4).
