Whosoever transgresseth (G3845 = depart, leave, be turned from), and abideth (G3306 = remain, stay, continue) not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. 2 John 1:9-11 .

Even many think the ‘Emergent Church movement‘ already past, the truth is their unbiblical doctrines still continue today around the world and it has infiltrated ALL denominations.
Not surprisingly there is a connection between the mysticism of the Emerging Church movement and Roman Catholic Mysticism . But also their promoters are especially targeting the younger generation.
We are living in perilous times brothers & sisters in the Lord, now more than ever we all need to get closer to God & follow His Word. Because darkness is getting darker in these last days, many brethren are being deceived with false doctrines, most of them are babes in the Lord, good people, but unfortunately as usual, the younger & weaker are the easiest prey for the wolves or false teachers. Please pray for them & pray for the Church in general.
The Word of God teach us about love, our motives must always be based on love. Sadly there are many Christians today, promoting God’s love but disregarding God’s Truth, using love as the excuse for interfaith unity & peace. But the Truth of God is always interwoven with His Love, they can’t be separated. We can’t show God’s love to people without giving them God’s Truth.
“till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: 14 that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine (G1319– teachings, precepts) by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: . Ephesians 4:14-16
We see today a constant attack against Christ’s doctrine. A growing number of people, especially among proponents of the ecumenical movement & emergent church movement, are now saying: “Doctrine divides, experience unites” or “Doctrine is not important. Let’s lay aside our doctrinal differences and let’s unite.” It sounds nice but sadly is not biblical.
Is sound doctrine important? Is truth important? Of course it is!
Sound doctrine is teaching that agrees with the Bible. When the Bible speaks of sound doctrine, it speaks of absolute truth as laid down by God in His Word.
The word doctrine means instruction, teaching. Noah Webster’s Dictionary defines doctrine as: “That which is laid down as true by an instructor or master.”
There is a persistent attack to debilitate the Christian Church from with in, the enemy is not looking to completely destroy it, but to contaminate it & change it into something else, in order to use it for a different purpose for what it was really created. The way they are working to accomplish this is by bringing subtle false doctrines & infiltrating the church with many false teachers, that will call for ecumenical unity but will attack sound doctrine & those who defend it. They are not hiding their intentions:
“There will not be any disassociation between the Universal (means Catholic) church, the Sacred Lodge of all true Masons, and the inner circles of the esoteric societies… In this way, the goals and work of the United Nations shall be solidified and a new Church of God, led by all the religions and by all the spiritual groups, shall put an end to the great heresy of separateness.” Theosophist & Occultic Alice Bailey, See more on Fanatic for Jesus
Some of this false doctrines that are gaining acceptance in Christian churches are Western Mysticism, Catholic Mysticism, Contemplative prayer, Gnosticism, etc. We don’t find any of these practices in the Bible.
Mysticism is a word derived from the Greek that means ‘conceal or mystery‘. Mysticism is a claim of direct union with God that bypasses the mind (reason), & also bypasses the Lord Jesus Christ &/or His doctrine. This is serious error since Jesus is the only mediator between God & men (1 Timothy 2:5, Acts 4:12, John 4:16).
The American Heritage Dictionary defines Mysticism as: ‘Belief in direct experience of transcendent reality or God, especially by means of contemplation and asceticism instead of rational thought.
Mysticism is an attempt to gain ultimate knowledge of God by a direct experience that bypasses the mind. The strong influence of Catholic mysticism has helped immensely to transform the New Age Movement from being merely a counter-culture sub-culture to becoming a new source of spiritual vision for the world. Catholic mysticism has very effectively and subtly invaded many facets of life without being recognized or critically examined. Christiananswers
From the beginning I want to clarify that this blog is not anti-Roman Catholic, we love Catholic people, we are anti-sin and anti-Satan. I was a devout Catholic for 25 years, studied from elementary through high school in a Catholic school. I have many family members and friends that are Catholics. When I was a baby Christian I married a Catholic, who later also got saved, we went to prayer meetings with Catholics, even went with relatives to their Catholic churches on special occasions and we believed we all could be the same body of Christ & that the Catholic Church just needed to make some small changes, etc. But it wasn’t until we study the Bible & also went deeper into Catholic doctrine, that we understood why they didn’t change or experienced any conviction of sins, and we also could understood what the real problem was. But we love Catholics and because we do, we warn them. I’m convinced that many Catholics will come to the Lord Jesus Christ in these last days, but when they do, eventually they will leave behind that corrupted system.
When we truly want to follow Christ and want to do what God says in His Word, then we have to put aside the beliefs and practices of the Roman Catholic Church or any other denomination, that are rooted in their own traditions or man-made doctrines, rather than in the true Word of God. How can we call ourselves Christians if we don’t follow Christ or His Word? but rather follow our own ideas or the teachings of men? (Mormons follow the teachings of Joseph Smith, Jehovah’s Witnesses follow teachings of Charles Russell & their Governing body, Moravians follow Masonic count Zinzendorf, Calvinists follow Calvin, etc. See the problem? ). Our advise… do not follow men but the son of God, invite Jesus Christ into your life, accept Him as your Lord & Saviour, and study His Word.
This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men. Mark 7:6-7
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils” 1 Tim. 4:1
Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. 1 Timothy 4:16
We are not trying here to accuse people, we don’t question their motives, their hearts, personal lives, characters, etc. They may be nice people or even sincere, but that doesn’t mean they may not be deceived. We just question their doctrines in light of the Scriptures, especially because our salvation depends on the true doctrine we find in the Word of God, not in the words of men. We can’t take verses out of context that’s what sects do and the reason why they are in error. Exhortation and admonition (right judgment) seek to gently correct and restore.
I was a Catholic half of my life, most of my family still are, I love them, have witnessed to them and pray for their salvation, but they are not following the doctrines of the bible, the teachings of Jesus, they are following doctrines of men. It’s true that there may be some of them having revelation of who is Christ but surely they are also in their way out of that system like many of us did, please let us not forget to pray for them.
“This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men” Matthew 15: 8-9
“O house of Jacob, come and let us walk In the light of the Lord. For You have forsaken Your people, the house of Jacob, Because they are filled with eastern ways; They are soothsayers (H6049-diviners) like the Philistines, And they are pleased with the children of foreigners.” Isaiah 2:6

She is a Catholic mixed with New Age beliefs, but still many evangelicals are promoting her : We will Stand , Mrs Downey has a spiritual Psychology degree from a New Age teaching institution, she admits that she is a fan of Eastern Mysticism teacher Eckhard Tolle. She practices mysticism, Catholicism, and necromancy (seeking communication with the dead). On live television, Downey communicated with her dead mother through a medium. Necromancy is strictly forbidden in the bible. She and her husband both Catholics, produced Son of God movie & the ‘Bible Series“. Ecumenical meeting with Pope Francis, June 2014
Sadly we found that some Churches, organizations & colleges mainly belonging to the movements of Neo Calvinism, The New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) & The Word of Faith (WoF) movement, (as well as some other organizations), are in a great number getting involved with the ecumenical movement. They have links with one another, and are mostly Dominionists or ‘Kingdom Now‘ theology, which believe that it is Christians’ job to take over the world and occupy or exercise dominion, imposing a biblical rule. They said Christ would not return, until the church had claimed dominion over all of the world’s governments and institutions (7 mountains or spheres).
“But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; and whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many” Matthew 20:25-28
