When you check the doctrine of Catholic mystics you realize they didn’t understand the gospel according to the Bible (salvation by faith in Jesus sacrifice, not by works, Eph.2:8-9). But they believed their works & sacrifices were needed to ‘ascend‘ & get closer to God. Jesus Christ was not their mediator, but different ‘saints’ that they called patrons or advocates. Most of their doctrines (& even their visions) came from the traditions of the Catholic Church, not the Bible.

About a year ago a relative showed me a couple of videos made by the Bible Project, they are short animated videos teaching the Bible and I really loved their animations, & the high quality of their presentation. After watching a few more videos, I found that the most important part, their bible teachings, have a lot of interpretation or personal opinions, not everything was biblical base. Later in another video I found they didn’t believe in hell, even this is a basic doctrine accepted by all Christians, which is denied only by sects like Jehovah Witnesses & others like them. So even I know a lot of Christian ministries were using their videos as tools to teach the Bible, I stopped watching them, because after my personal experience of coming out from a system full of wrong doctrines (Catholicism), I value sound doctrine more than a good presentations or anything else.

Some Christian teachers proudly proclaim they embrace everybody & their beliefs, because they don’t want to be divisive. This may sound good to many of you, but is not a biblical teaching. Some may even consider themselves a better person because of this ecumenical approach & cite part of Romans 16:17 as proof for that:

‘Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences’

Even all four gospels are complementary and all tell about the story of Jesus, the gospel of John is different from the gospel of Matthew, Mark & Luke. The differences between these three Gospels and John’s include the language used, the timeline, the material covered, e.g. there is no record of the genealogy of Jesus’ birth or childhood, but also there is a unique approach by John to the life and ministry of Jesus, giving emphasis to the Divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Resurrection Sunday!

Most Christians celebrated in their homes Palm Sunday to commemorate Jesus’ triumphal entry in Jerusalem (Matt. 21:1-11; Mk. 11:1-11; Jn. 12:12-16). History asserts that the earlier Palm Sunday was observed in the Greek Church in the 4th century, but there are no signs of the observance before that time. Many churches around the world use palm branches, processions, etc. This year 2020 because of the Corona-virus pandemic many will celebrate also Resurrection Sunday in their homes. We just want to encourage you, not to be sad because this year you cannot celebrate according to your traditions, but instead reflect on Jesus, what He really did on those days, who He really is, etc. Please also pray for the people that are sick & most importantly that many will receive salvation on the middle of these times of trouble. Who is the Destroyer?

When you ask Christians, who is the destroyer mentioned in the Bible, some will tell you the destroyer is God the Father, others say is Jesus, or an angel of death, but some others (me included) believe the destroyer is no other than Satan.

Do to the coronavirus crisis I have seen many false teachers lately & people in social media, quoting Psalm 91, like it is a protective amulet or a magic spell, even when many of these people that quote it have been disregarding God’s Word in their lives for many years. Sadly they try to get their comfort reciting words out loud to calm their minds & don’t realize what is the most important part that Psalm 91 is talking about, which will bring them the real peace & comfort they are looking for in their distressful times.

After our Lord’s resurrection, the first instructions or commission He gave to His disciples was:

Then the eleven disciples went away to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. ¹⁷When they saw Him, they worshiped Him. But some doubted. ¹⁸Then Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. ¹⁹Go therefore and make disciples (G3100) of all nations (G1484=Non Jewish, gentiles, heathen world), baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Matthew 28:16-20
