Through out the years there have been many organizations, religions & individuals, many of them gnostics, trying to sow doubts about the books of the New Testament  or Jesus’ teachings.

But lately the attack has intensified because we are in the last days, and they need to speed up on the creation of a  global religion, (based on some branches of mysticism & a new set of laws). That religion will be the glue that will keep together a new global system. And true Christianity is an obstacle to their plans. Without the world religion they wont be able to succeed in maintaining the new system.

The only way that we  believers cannot be shaken from our faith or be affected by diverse winds of false doctrines, is by been rooted in the Word of God (Col.2:6-7) or having a ‘good’ foundation & allowing to be led by the Holy Spirit. Jesus taught us about the foundations on Matt.7:24-27  & Luke 6:47-49.

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. . .

24 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.” Matt.7:24-27

47 “Whoever comes to Me and hears My words and does them, I will show whom he is like: 48 He is like a man who built a house, and dug deep, and laid the foundation on rock. When the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, but could not shake it, for it was founded on rock. 49 But he who hears and does not obey is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently. Immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.” Luke 6:47-49

Jesus highlights the importance of listening & obeying, by putting His teachings into practice. So the first thing a new believer do is to learn the words/teachings of Jesus the son of God. Listening or learning them is good but it’s still not complete or it’s just half the work to set the foundation. We need to act and put them into practice in our daily living. There are still many Christians that go to church & listen to Jesus’ words but they don’t put them into practice, so don’t be surprise when very soon the persecution comes & a great falling away happens (2 Thess.2:3).

I think the main problem has to do with an important key they are missing, maybe they didn’t understand it, or maybe it hasn’t been taught well enough to them, or they forgot about it. And it has to do with the person of the Holy Spirit. Beloved we are not alone! Jesus had to go to send us the Holy Spirit, the Teacher, the Counselor, the Helper, the Spirit of truth who also intercedes for us (Ro.8: 26-27). This doesn’t mean we don’t have a job to do as well, but . . .remember it is a TEAM work. (Jn 15:15).

If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Counselor, that He may be with you forever: 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, for it does not see Him, neither does it know Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you, and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you fatherless. . . . 21 He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father. And I will love him and will reveal Myself to him ” John 14.

But when the Counselor comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will bear witness of Me. John 15:26

Humans can have a set of laws to help them know right from wrong, but the letters cannot forgive sins, nor give them life, nor change their hearts. The law in the Old Testament even it’s holy & good, can only reveal man their sinful nature, reveals the problem but cannot fix it.  Rules cannot clean us from sin nor help us to overcome sin. That was the reason animal sacrifices were required in the Old Testament, because without the blood there is not remission of sins, Lev.17:11, Hebrews 9:22. The law was like a tutor, but we now have the person of the Holy Spirit that can teach us with more detail right from wrong, can intercede for us, help to change our hearts & empower us to overcome sin. The New Covenant involves a change of heart & the indwelling of the Holy Spirit of God.

“Also, I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments (precepts) and do them”. Eze.36:26-27, -See also Jer.31:31

We don’t reject the law of Moises it’s still good, they are godly moral principals, but for the ones that entered the New Covenant, are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb of God, ‘Jesus Christ’ & are filled with the Holy Spirit, we fulfill the law by loving God & loving our neighbor as ourselves. All the Law & the books of the prophets (Tanak) hang on those two commandments (Matt 22:36-40). Christians are no longer under the Law given to Moses, but under grace (Romans 6:14–15). We are under the law of Christ which is to love.

“For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ“. Jn.1:17.

Jesus in the last supper after braking the bread he also took the cup & said: (Luke 20:22)

Those that say there are mistakes and want to get rid of the books of Hebrews or Galatians, because they contradict their teachings, in reality they want to get rid of the entire New Testament, or the teachings of Jesus.

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son1John 2:22, – (Christ=messiah).

and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and is already in the world.1 John 4:3

For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 2 John 7.
