This entry is part 2 of 12 in the series Revelation<\/a><\/div>

The main character of the entire book of Revelation is the Lord Jesus Christ<\/strong><\/span>, in chapters 2 and 3 we saw the risen Lord from heaven addressing the churches on Earth. Now after chapter 4 the scenario changes completely, placing the readers in Heaven<\/strong>. The Apostle John sees a door open in heaven<\/strong> & a voice calls him \u201cCome up here<\/span>, and I will show you things which must take place after<\/span> this<\/strong><\/em>.\u201d He then sees a throne in heaven & heavenly worship.

In Rev.1:19 we have the chronological order & the division of this book into its three tenses: past (Chap.1), present (Chap.2 & 3) & future (Chap.4-22). “Write the things that you have seen<\/strong>, and those that are<\/strong>, and those that will be<\/span> after these<\/strong><\/em>“. (Rev 1:19).<\/p>\n

In Chapter 5, Jesus, the Lamb of God, is the only one found worthy to break 7 seals<\/strong> of the scroll, <\/strong>He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.<\/span> (some translations say ‘book’, but compare the Greek word scroll G975<\/a> w\/ same word in Rev.6:14).<\/p>\n

This post is regarding chapter 6 & the possible timing<\/span> of the 4 horses<\/strong> of the Book of Revelation. When the seals are open, the 4 horses begin to ride. (Some of you may think they already started to ride but will intensify like the birth pangs). I think is important to know the time, <\/strong>because it may help some people to see how close we are to the Lord’s coming, some will look for Him & get saved, and it may also help many believers to stop getting distracted, put their houses in order & get ready for His coming.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Seals<\/span><\/h5>\n

I saw when the Lamb<\/strong> opened one of the seals<\/span>. Then I heard one of the four living creatures saying, with voice like thunder, \u201cCome and see.\u201d <\/span> 2\u00a0<\/sup>And I looked, and there before me was a white<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>horse. He who sat on it had a bow. And a crown<\/span><\/strong> (corona<\/span>) was given to him<\/span>, and he went forth conquering<\/span> that he might overcome.<\/span><\/p>\n

3\u00a0<\/sup>When He opened the second seal<\/span>, I heard the second living creature say, \u201cCome and see.\u201d <\/span> 4\u00a0<\/sup>Then another horse that was red<\/strong><\/span><\/span> went forth. Power was given to him who sat on it to take peace<\/span><\/strong> from the earth<\/span>, causing people to kill one another<\/span>. Then a great sword<\/strong> was given to him.<\/span><\/p>\n

5\u00a0<\/sup>When He opened the third seal<\/span>, I heard the third living creature say, \u201cCome!\u201d I looked, and there was a black <\/strong><\/span><\/span>horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales <\/strong>in his hand. <\/span> 6\u00a0<\/sup>Then I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, \u201cA quart of wheat for a day\u2019s wages<\/span>, and three quarts of barley for a day\u2019s wages,<\/span>\u00a0and do not harm the oil and the wine.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

7\u00a0<\/sup>When He opened the fourth seal<\/span>, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, \u201cCome!\u201d <\/span> 8\u00a0<\/sup>So I looked, and there was a pale<\/span><\/span><\/strong> horse, and the name of him who sat on it was Death, <\/span>and Hades followed him<\/span>. Power over a fourth of the earth<\/span> was given to them<\/strong><\/span>, to kill<\/strong><\/span> with sword, <\/strong>with hunger, <\/strong>with death, and by the beasts of the earth<\/strong>.\u00a0 Revelation 6:1-8<\/a>

There are some differences in the interpretation including the timing since the Bible doesn’t mention a date. But we have no doubt that what the prophecy of this book says will come to pass, & it is clear what each horse represent, most agree they are Conquest or Deception<\/span>, War<\/span>, Famine\/hunger, & Death<\/span><\/strong>. Verse 8 says that they together<\/span> have the power to kill w\/ war, hunger, death & by the beast of the earth,\u00a0 1\/4<\/strong> (25%) of earth population.<\/p>\n

(Note: I always wondered about death by the beasts of the earth, now I think about all animals even at the zoos, etc. that were vac. w\/the poison).<\/p>\n

These 4 horses are ‘judgments<\/strong>‘ see Ezek 14:21<\/a>, Jer.14:12, 2 Chr. 20:9. But are NOT the Wrath. “for when Your judgments are in the earth<\/strong>,<\/span><\/em> the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness<\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/span>” Is. 26:9<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I always heard that these 4 horses would ride at the beginning of the 7 yrs of ‘the great tribulation period’, & the Church would NOT be here to see them. So I didn’t worried to much about it, & for this reason I was not in a hurry about studying the Book of Revelation since we wouldn’t be here for that time.<\/p>\n

Studying the Scriptures I understood that the Church wouldn’t be here (or it would be protected, Rev. 3:10) from the wrath of God<\/strong><\/span>, (John 3:36, 1 Thess. 5:9). The wrath of God is only for those who do not follow Jesus the Son of God as their Savior. “Let no one deceive you with vain words, for by these things comes the wrath of God<\/span> upon the children of disobedience<\/span><\/strong><\/em>” (Eph. 5:6, see also Eph. 2:1-3), wrath is not for the ones that have received Jesus Christ & obey His Word.<\/p>\n
