{"id":9447,"date":"2020-11-24T17:02:27","date_gmt":"2020-11-24T22:02:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cristolaverdad.com\/?p=9447"},"modified":"2021-05-18T10:17:57","modified_gmt":"2021-05-18T14:17:57","slug":"psalm-26-we-proclaim-with-the-voice-of-thanksgiving","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/cristolaverdad.com\/?p=9447","title":{"rendered":"Psalm 26 &#8211; We proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"seriesmeta\">This entry is part 3 of 14 in the series <a href=\"http:\/\/cristolaverdad.com\/?series=psalms\" class=\"series-100\" title=\"Psalms\">Psalms<\/a><\/div><p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">A Psalm of David.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Psalm 26 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-XH17Qsbp8c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Audio<\/a><br \/>\n1 <strong>Judge me<\/strong>, O Lord; for I have walked in mine <span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>integrity<\/strong><\/span>:<br \/>\nI have <strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">trusted<\/span> <\/strong>also <strong>in the Lord<\/strong>; therefore I shall not slide.<br \/>\n2 <strong>Examine me, O Lord<\/strong>, and prove me;<br \/>\ntry my reins (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kingjamesbibledictionary.com\/StrongsNo\/h3629\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">H3629<\/a>= the mind) and <span style=\"color: #800000;\">my heart<\/span>.<br \/>\n3 For <strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">thy lovingkindness<\/span><\/strong> is before mine eyes:<br \/>\nand I have walked in<span style=\"color: #800000;\"> thy truth<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>4 I have <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>not<\/strong><\/span> sat with<strong> vain<\/strong> persons,<br \/>\nneither will I go in with <strong>dissemblers.<\/strong><br \/>\n5 I have<strong> hated<\/strong> the congregation of <strong>evil<\/strong> doers;<br \/>\nand will <strong>not<\/strong> sit with the <strong>wicked.<\/strong><br \/>\n6 I will wash mine hands in innocency:<br \/>\nso will I compass thine altar, O Lord:<br \/>\n7 * that I may <strong>publish (proclaim)<\/strong> with the voice of<span style=\"color: #800000;\"> thanksgiving,<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #800000;\">and tell of all thy wondrous works.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>8 Lord, I have <strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">loved<\/span><\/strong> the habitation of thy house,<br \/>\nand the place where <span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>thine<\/strong> honour<\/span> dwelleth.<br \/>\n9<strong> Gather not my soul with sinners<\/strong>,<br \/>\n<strong>nor<\/strong> my life with bloody men:<br \/>\n10 in whose hands is <strong>mischief<\/strong>,<br \/>\nand their right hand is <strong>full of bribes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>11 But as for me,<span style=\"color: #800000;\"> I will walk in<\/span> mine<strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\"> integrity<\/span><\/strong>:<br \/>\n<strong>redeem me, and be merciful unto me<\/strong>.<br \/>\n12 My foot standeth in an even place:<br \/>\n* <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">in the congregations<\/span> will <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>I bless the Lord.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Some commentaries said that probably David was being falsely accused when he wrote this Psalm.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>OUTLINE<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">A Prayer for Divine Scrutiny and Redemption<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Examine me, O Lord:<\/strong> (vs.1-3)<\/p>\n<p>a) In this psalm David asked God to examine him. We notice that his integrity was based in his<span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong> faith or trust<\/strong> in God<\/span>. He recognizes that he wouldn&#8217;t slip and fall (slide) because of <strong>God&#8217;s lovingkindness.<\/strong> (vs.1). (<a href=\"https:\/\/classic.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=prov+20%3A7&amp;version=AKJV;RVR1960\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Prov. 7:8<\/a>),<a href=\"https:\/\/classic.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Psalm+25%3A1-5&amp;version=KJV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Psalm 25:1-5<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>b) He asked God to do a deep examination, to try his reins (mind\/thoughts) and his <span style=\"color: #800000;\">heart<\/span>. \u201c<em>Blessed are the <span style=\"color: #800000;\">pure in heart<\/span>, for they shall see God<\/em>\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/classic.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Matthew%205%3A8&amp;version=AKJV;MEV;NKJV;RVR1960\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mat. 5:8<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>If we pay attention and try to keep clean our heart first, then we will fix the problems of a corrupt communication, evil thoughts and bad deeds. Because <strong>purity of heart will be reflected in our life.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>c) Again we notice David&#8217;s confidence was not on his own righteousness, or in his own wisdom; David was walking in <span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>God&#8217;s truth<\/strong><\/span> and the <span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>lovingkindness of God<\/strong> <\/span>was considered in his daily walk. David had revelation that<strong> God&#8217;s mercy<\/strong> was &#8220;<em>from everlasting to everlasting<\/em>&#8221; (<a href=\"https:\/\/classic.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=psalm+103%3A17&amp;version=AKJV;NKJV;RVR1960\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Psalm 103:17<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/classic.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1+Chronicles+16&amp;version=AKJV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">1 Chronicles 16<\/a>, Psalm 105). (vs.3)<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Set apart unto God.<\/strong> (vs.4-7)<\/p>\n<p>a) He didn&#8217;t sit or had company with the vain, dissemblers (who hide, conceal H5956), nor the evil doers or the wicked. &#8220;<em>Blessed is the man that <span style=\"color: #800000;\">walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly<\/span>, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful&#8221;<\/em> Psalm 1:1. (vs.4-5)<br \/>\nAccording with the Scriptures, <strong>we are to be separated unto God,<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #800000;\">not only from carnal sin but also from spiritual contamination<\/span> (contamination from unbiblical doctrines or <strong>endorsing unrighteous people<\/strong>) (<a href=\"https:\/\/classic.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=2%20Cor.%207%3A%201%2C%206%3A14-17%20%3B%201%20Tim.4%3A1&amp;version=AKJV;RVR1960;MEV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2 Cor. 7: 1, 6:14-17 ;1 Tim.4:1<\/a>). We are commanded to hold fast to the same doctrine that was taught by the apostles (<a href=\"https:\/\/classic.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=titus%201%3A9&amp;version=AKJV;MEV;NKJV;RVR1960\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Titus 1:9<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/classic.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=2+Timothy+1%3A13+&amp;version=AKJV;NKJV;AMP;RVR1960\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2 Tim 1: 13<\/a>, etc).<\/p>\n<p>b) I will wash mine hands in innocency (<a href=\"https:\/\/classic.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Deuteronomy+21&amp;version=AKJV;NKJV;RVR1960\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Deuteronomy 21:6-8<\/a>). (vs.6)<\/p>\n<p>c) &#8220;<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>that I may publish (proclaim) with the voice of thanksgiving,<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nand tell of all thy <strong>wondrous works<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>King David loved to worship God and sing praises to Him. (vs.7)<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Loving God&#8217;s Presence (vs.8-10)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>a) &#8220;I have loved the habitation of thy house,<br \/>\nand the place where thine honour dwelleth&#8221;<br \/>\nDavid said that he loved the place where they put the ark of the covenant because <strong>God&#8217;s presence<\/strong> was there. <a href=\"https:\/\/classic.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Leviticus%2016%3A2&amp;version=AKJV;MEV;NKJV;RVR1960\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lev. 16:2<\/a><\/p>\n<p>b) He was keeping himself separated from sin &amp; bad influences (the world). To be set apart unto God doesn&#8217;t mean to be isolated but to be different from the world, to be dedicated to God, because we belong to Him alone &amp; because He is Holy. <a href=\"https:\/\/classic.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Luke+6%3A22%2C+Romans+6%3A13%2C+1+Peter+1%3A15%2C+John+15%3A+19%2C+James+4%3A4&amp;version=AKJV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Luke 6:22, Romans 6:13, 1 Peter 1:15, John 15: 19, James 4:4.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>4. David confirms his walk in integrity. (vs.11-12)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>a) David was confident his foot wouldn&#8217;t stumble <span style=\"color: #800000;\">because God was his Rock<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Our foot is on a solid foundation: Jesus Christ and His Holy Word.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Salm.18%3A31%2C+Psalm+62%3A7%2C+78%3A35%2C+2+Sam.22%3A1%2C+32%2C+Rom.9%3A33%3B+1+Pet.+2%3A6-8%3B+1+Cor.3%3A11%2C+10%3A4.&amp;version=AKJV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Psalm 62:7, 78:35, 2 Sam.22:1, 32, Rom.9:33; 1 Pet.2:6-7<\/a>.<br \/>\nJesus had redeemed us from the bondage that this world wants to put us under.<\/p>\n<p>b) In the congregation (publicly) I will bless God. &#8220;<em>Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.<\/em>&#8221; Psalm 66:2.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus is worthy of all our praises!!. Every time we worship &amp; adore Him we should make sure we are giving Him our best. When we worship Him publicly is like we are inviting others to join us to worship together the King of kings, He is so WORTHY, He deserves all our adoration and sacrifice of praise!!<\/p>\n<p>-Beloved praise Him with your own words, He is WORTHY!!<\/p>\n<p>Lord Jesus we praise you, we bless you, there is none like you!! We love you Lord, we exalt you &amp; bless your Holy Name !!<br \/>\nThank you for your Word oh Lord, thank you for you Holy Spirit that guide us, thanks for your precious blood that washes us from all sin. Thank you for your provision, even in the midst of our troubles you are worthy to be praise!!<br \/>\nThere are not enough words in this world to tell you how awesome you are sweet Lord Jesus!!\u00a0 We praise you.. we adore you, you are Holy, Holy, Holy! I bow before you my beautiful King. Thank you so much for everything you have done and keep doing for all of us. Thank you Lord for your great love, for you mercy that endures for ever!! I praise you, I bless you my Lord &amp; King!!<\/p>\n<p>WE GIVE THANKS!
