Do to the coronavirus<\/strong> crisis I have seen many false teachers lately & people in social media, quoting Psalm 91,<\/strong> like it is a protective amulet or a magic spell, even when many of these people that quote it have been disregarding God’s Word in their lives for many years. Sadly they try to get their comfort reciting words out loud to calm their minds & don’t realize what is the most important part that Psalm 91 is talking about, which will bring them the real peace<\/strong> & comfort they are looking for in their distressful times.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Psalm 91<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 (MEV)<\/p>\n

1 He who<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>dwells<\/strong><\/span> in the shelter<\/span> of the Most High
\nshall abide<\/span> (H3885<\/a>=stay, dwell, remain) under the shadow of the Almighty.
\n2 I will say of the Lord, \u201cHe<\/strong> is my refuge<\/span> and my fortress,<\/span>
\nmy God in whom I trust<\/strong><\/span><\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n

3 Surely He<\/span> shall deliver you from the snare of the hunter
\nand from the deadly pestilence.
\n4 He<\/span> shall cover you with His<\/span> feathers,
\nand under His<\/span> wings you shall find protection;
\nHis<\/span> faithfulness shall be your shield<\/span> and wall.
\n5 You shall not be afraid<\/strong> of the terror by night,
\nnor of the arrow that flies by day;
\n6 nor of the pestilence that pursues in darkness,
\nnor of the destruction that strikes at noonday.
\n7 A thousand may fall at your side
\nand ten thousand at your right hand,
\nbut it shall not come near you.
\n8 Only with your eyes shall you behold
\nand see the reward of the wicked.<\/p>\n

9 Because<\/span><\/strong> you have made the Lord<\/strong><\/span>, who is my refuge<\/strong>,
\neven the Most High, your dwelling <\/strong><\/span><\/span>(H4583<\/a>=an abode),
\n10 there shall be no evil befall you,
\nneither shall any plague come near your tent;
\n11 for He<\/span> shall give His<\/span> angels charge over you
\nto guard you in all your ways.
\n12 They shall bear you up in their hands,
\nlest you strike your foot against a stone.
\n13 You shall tread upon the lion and adder;
\nthe young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.<\/p>\n

14 Because<\/strong><\/span> he has set his LOVE upon Me,<\/strong> therefore<\/span> I will deliver him;<\/span>
\nI will set him on high, because<\/strong><\/span> he has known My name.<\/span>
\n15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;<\/strong>
\nI will be with him in trouble,<\/strong>
\nand I will deliver him and honor him.<\/strong>
\n16 With long life I will satisfy him<\/strong>
\nand show him My salvation<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

When we have a relationship with God<\/strong> trough Jesus Christ (the only way to the Father –John 14:6<\/a> & 1:12<\/a>), then we’ll choose to leave behind the world\u2019s ways<\/strong> in favor of a lifestyle that is pleasing to Him, according to His teachings, (because we love Him), and we’ll look to spend time drawing near to Him<\/strong><\/span>, then He<\/span><\/strong> will draw near to us<\/strong> (James love for Him 4:8<\/a>).<\/p>\n

“Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love<\/strong> me, he will keep <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/em>(G5083<\/a> -To observe, hold fast)<\/span> my words<\/strong><\/span>: and my Father will love him, and we will come<\/span> unto him<\/strong><\/span>, and make our abode<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/em>(G3438<\/a>=dwelling)<\/span> with him.<\/span><\/em>” John 14:23-24<\/a>.\u00a0 (Compare G5083: to observe, with Mat. 28:20<\/a>)<\/p>\n

This is how we dwell or abide<\/span> under the shadow of the Almighty. When we obey<\/strong> His Word we are showing our<\/span> LOVE for Him<\/strong>. (It’s an obedience out of love, we love because He first loved us<\/a>). We draw near to Him to correspond to His love & then He will draw near to us. This is Jesus talking in John 14 verse 23, He says the Father & Him will come & abide with that person, the Holy Spirit is already here leading us.<\/p>\n

Now read again the promises for us written in Psalm 91:14-16, there is a condition, these promises are for those who LOVE HIM back:<\/p>\n

14 Because<\/strong><\/span> he <\/span>has set his LOVE upon Me<\/span>,<\/strong> therefore<\/span> I will<\/span> deliver him;
\nI will<\/span> set him on high, because<\/strong> he has known My name.
\n15 He shall call upon Me, and I will<\/span> answer him;<\/strong>
\nI will<\/span> be with him in trouble,<\/strong>
\nand I will<\/span> deliver him and honor him.<\/strong>
\n16 With long life I will<\/span> satisfy him<\/strong>
\nand show him My salvation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It is His presence<\/span> that protect us<\/strong> (vs.9) from the enemies harm, not the reciting of words with an empty heart, without relationship or understanding. (Remember even satan chose to cite from Psalm 91:11-12 with out love for Him when said: \u201cFor it is written,<\/span> \u2018He shall give His angels charge concerning you,\u2019 <\/span><\/span>and <\/span>\u2018In their hands they shall lift you up,<\/span><\/span> lest at any time you dash your foot against a stone<\/span><\/span><\/em>\u201d Matt.4:1-11<\/a> & we know how he ends).<\/p>\n

We Christians take our cross daily (Luke 9:23<\/a>) to put to die our own sinful (fleshy) ambitions<\/strong>, & live by faith in Him and FOR HIM! See series to be Born again<\/a>. So no matter if we live, we live for Him, or if we die, we go to Him! Only knowing that you belong to Him & that your life is in His hands, only then, you will not be afraid of the terror by night nor of the pestilence, or anything the enemy may bring your way. And because your life is hidden in Him<\/span> then you will be in complete peace<\/strong> if He decides to call you anytime, according to His purpose. Meanwhile we continue keeping His Word\/loving Him.<\/p>\n

I believe some people, mainly grandparents that abide<\/span> in Him <\/strong>may depart during these coronavirus pandemic (we ALL will depart one day!), because they have finished their race & the Lord have been protecting them for many years, but also may be removing them because of more harms that are coming our way in these last days & He wants to spare them from that out of love & mercy. God didn’t make this pandemic, it<\/a> was man<\/a>–made<\/a> (video<\/a>), to bring in place the system of the Antichrist.<\/strong> But our Lord will allow it, & He will soon start to clean His church (1 Peter 4:17<\/a>). If you are a Christian you should have peace in Him & praise Him no matter the circumstances<\/span> that surround us, if you are afraid or anxious them please draw close to Him now & abide under the shadow of the Almighty God.<\/p>\n

I pray the Lord will bless you, protect you from any attack of the enemy & give you strength<\/strong> during difficult times ahead, but mainly I pray that you will always draw near to Him<\/span><\/strong> to find peace & comfort in His presence.
