{"id":5414,"date":"2018-08-01T05:00:22","date_gmt":"2018-08-01T09:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cristolaverdad.com\/?p=5414"},"modified":"2020-01-13T10:00:09","modified_gmt":"2020-01-13T15:00:09","slug":"john-3-pt-3-god-so-loved-the-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/cristolaverdad.com\/?p=5414","title":{"rendered":"John 3, Pt.3- God So Loved the World"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"seriesmeta\">This entry is part 3 of 4 in the series <a href=\"http:\/\/cristolaverdad.com\/?series=born-again\" class=\"series-57\" title=\"Born Again\">Born Again<\/a><\/div><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \" src=\"https:\/\/proxy.duckduckgo.com\/iur\/?f=1&amp;image_host=https%3A%2F%2Fs-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com%2Foriginals%2F6a%2F2e%2F9c%2F6a2e9cdd2ee1f4899662ac235bff55b5.jpg&amp;u=https:\/\/i.pinimg.com\/originals\/6a\/2e\/9c\/6a2e9cdd2ee1f4899662ac235bff55b5.jpg\" width=\"382\" height=\"286\" \/><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>God loves us<\/strong><\/span> (vs 16a): &#8220;<span id=\"en-AKJV-26137\" class=\"text John-3-16\"><em>For <strong>God so<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> loved<\/span> the world<\/strong>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">that<\/span> he<strong> gave his only begotten Son<\/strong>&#8221; &#8211;<\/em> In this verse \u201cGod\u201d (the designation of the divine nature) is used of the Father, who gave his Son<em>. <\/em><\/span><strong>God is a<span style=\"color: #800000;\"> loving God<\/span><\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=2+Corinthians+13%3A11%3B+1+John+4%3A8%2C16&amp;version=NKJV\">2 Corinthians 13:11; 1 John 4:8,16<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The object of love\u00a0 is &#8220;the world,&#8221; (<em>kosmos)<\/em>, a broad word that here refers to all humanity. God doesn&#8217;t limit this love only to the Jewish people or to believers, but to all of humanity. It is this great love of God that motivates us to love Him &amp; love others.\u00a0 \u201cWe love, because <strong>He first loved us<\/strong>\u201d 1 Jn.4:19.<\/p>\n<p>The word love &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kingjamesbibledictionary.com\/StrongsNo\/G26\/followers\">agape<\/a>&#8216; is not talking about an emotional love nor has the definition of love or romanticism the world understand, but agape is <strong>&#8216;benevolence<\/strong>, good will&#8217; it is an act of the will, a selfless, <strong>sacrificial love<\/strong> that cares &amp; constantly seeks the benefit of the other person.\u00a0 <strong>Agape love is active.<\/strong> It demonstrates love through actions. Please see<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1+corinthians+13&amp;version=NKJV;AKJV;MEV;RVA\"> 1 Cor.13<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 This is the love that God has for us, the reason He gave His son &amp; also the love that moved Jesus to voluntarily die for us in the cross\u00a0(<a class=\"rtBibleRef\" href=\"https:\/\/biblia.com\/bible\/esv\/John%2010.18\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-reference=\"John 10.18\" data-version=\"esv\" data-purpose=\"bible-reference\">John 10:18<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The world cannot teach us this love, because it comes from God. In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Galatians+5%3A22&amp;version=NKJV;AKJV;MEV;RVR1960\">Galatians 5:22<\/a> we learn that <strong>&#8216;agape&#8217; love<\/strong> is <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>the fruit of the Spirit.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The ancient Greek had 4 terms to define &#8216;love&#8217;: &#8216;<strong>Agape&#8217;, &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kingjamesbibledictionary.com\/StrongsNo\/G5368\/followers\">Phileo<\/a><\/strong>&#8216;, denoting personal attachment, friendship, brotherly love, this is a feeling, a fondness. You can find both terms in <a href=\"http:\/\/biblehub.com\/interlinear\/john\/21-16.htm\">Jn. 21:16<\/a>.\u00a0 <strong>Storge<\/strong> (natural love and affection of a parent for their child, family loyalty). <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Romans%2012%3A9-10&amp;version=AKJV;NKJV;MEV;RVR1960\">Rom.9:10<\/a> translated &#8216;kindly affectioned&#8217;, &amp; <strong>Eros<\/strong> (romantic love).<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span id=\"en-MEV-30613\" class=\"text 1John-4-9\">In this way <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>the love of God<\/strong> was revealed<\/span> to us, <strong>that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that <\/strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">we might live through Him. <\/span><\/span> <span id=\"en-MEV-30614\" class=\"text 1John-4-10\"><sup class=\"versenum\">10\u00a0<\/sup>In <span style=\"color: #800000;\">this is love<\/span>: not that we loved God, but that<strong> He loved us<\/strong> and sent His Son to be the<strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">atoning sacrifice<\/span> for our sins<\/strong>. <\/span> <span class=\"text 1John-4-11\"><sup class=\"versenum\">11\u00a0<\/sup><strong>Beloved<\/strong>, <span style=\"color: #800000;\">if God so <strong>loved us, we must also love<\/strong> <strong>one another<\/strong>.<\/span> . .\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <sup class=\"versenum\">16<\/sup><\/span><span id=\"en-MEV-30620\" class=\"text 1John-4-16\">And we have <strong>come to<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> know<\/span> and to <\/strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">believe<\/span> <strong>the love that God<\/strong> has for us<\/span><strong>. <\/strong><\/span><span class=\"text 1John-4-16\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">God is love<\/span>.<\/strong> Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him <\/span><span id=\"en-MEV-30615\" class=\"text 1John-4-11\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1%20John%204&amp;version=NKJV;AKJV;MEV;RVA\">1 John 4:8-11, 16<\/a><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><span id=\"en-MEV-29234\" class=\"text Eph-2-4\"><sup class=\"versenum\">4\u00a0<\/sup>But <strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">God,<\/span><\/strong> being rich in mercy, <strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">because of His great love<\/span><\/strong> with which He loved us, <\/span> <span id=\"en-MEV-29235\" class=\"text Eph-2-5\"><sup class=\"versenum\">5\u00a0<\/sup>even when we were<strong> dead in sins<\/strong>,<span style=\"color: #800000;\"> made us alive together with Christ<\/span> (by grace you have been saved), <\/span> <span id=\"en-MEV-29236\" class=\"text Eph-2-6\"><sup class=\"versenum\">6\u00a0<\/sup>and <strong>He raised us up<\/strong> and seated us together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, <\/span> <span id=\"en-MEV-29237\" class=\"text Eph-2-7\"><sup class=\"versenum\">7\u00a0<\/sup>so that in the coming ages He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. <\/span> <span id=\"en-MEV-29238\" class=\"text Eph-2-8\"><sup class=\"versenum\">8\u00a0<\/sup>For by grace you have been <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>saved<\/strong> through faith<\/span>, and this is not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, <\/span> <span id=\"en-MEV-29239\" class=\"text Eph-2-9\"><sup class=\"versenum\">9\u00a0<\/sup><strong>not of works<\/strong>, so that no one should boast.\u00a0 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=ephesians%202%3A4-9&amp;version=MEV;NKJV;AKJV;AMP\">Eph. 2:4-9<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>God wants us to <strong>hate evil or sin<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Romans%2012%3A9-10&amp;version=AKJV;NKJV;MEV;RVR1960\">Rom.9:10<\/a>), but<strong> to love<\/strong> one another (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Jn.13%3A35&amp;version=AKJV;NKJV;MEV;RVR1960\">Jn.13:35<\/a>), <strong>love<\/strong> our neighbors , &amp; even<strong> love<\/strong> (agape) our enemies. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Matt.%205%3A44&amp;version=NKJV;AKJV;MEV;RVR1960\">Matt. 5:44<\/a>. Also let us not forget that LOVE <span id=\"en-MEV-28670\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-4\"><sup>. . .<\/sup><\/span><span id=\"en-MEV-28672\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-6\"> rejoices<span style=\"color: #800000;\"> not<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> in iniquity,<\/span> but rejoices<strong> in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">the truth<\/span>.<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1Cor%2013%3A1-6&amp;version=AKJV;KJV;RVR1960;MEV\">1 Cor.13:6<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-MEV-28672\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-6\"> <\/span>On one hand <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>God loves the sinner<\/strong><\/span> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Romans+5%3A8%3B+1+John+4%3A10&amp;version=NKJV;AKJV;MEV;RVA\">Romans 5 :8; 1 John 4:10<\/a>), but on the other hand God hates sin or evil<strong>. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Sin separate us from God<\/span><\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Isaiah%2059%3A2&amp;version=NKJV;AKJV;MEV\">Is. 59:2,<\/a> Jer.5:25),<strong> it blinds us to the truth<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1+Jn.2%3A11&amp;version=MEV;NKJV;AKJV;RVR1960\">(1 Jn.2:11<\/a>) &amp; we will <strong>perish<\/strong> if we stay in our sins.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8216;But <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>God<\/strong> proves His <strong>love<\/strong><\/span> for us in this: While we were still<strong> sinners<\/strong>, <strong>Christ died for us<\/strong>&#8216; (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Romans+5%3A8%3B+1+John+4%3A10&amp;version=NKJV;AKJV;MEV;RVA\">Rom.5:8<\/a>).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>There are some that teach that <strong>God hates sinners<\/strong> &amp; to prove it they use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Psalm+5%3A1-10&amp;version=NKJV;MEV;RVR1960;AKJV\">Psalm 5:5<\/a> :&#8221;<em><strong><span class=\"indent-1\"> <span class=\"text Ps-5-5\">You hate all workers of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">iniquity<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/em>&#8220;. \u00a0\u00a0 The Hebrew word for iniquity <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kingjamesbibledictionary.com\/StrongsNo\/h205\">H520<\/a> \u201ca\u0302ven\u201d literally means &#8220;<em>perverseness, wickedness<\/em>&#8220;.\u00a0<strong>Iniquity is sin at its worst.<\/strong> Iniquity is premeditated, continuing with out repentance &amp; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">escalating<\/span> sin (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Job%206%3A29&amp;version=AKJV\">Job 6:29<\/a>). God hates (without sinful intent, not like men hate) these type of sinners, which means He abandons\/<strong>gives them over<\/strong> to a reprobate mind, because they had <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/cristolaverdad.com\/?p=2993\">harden their hearts<\/a><\/strong>. Please check also <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gotquestions.org\/Bible-iniquity.html\">&#8216;Iniquity<\/a><\/strong>&#8216;.<\/p>\n<p>There is a use of the word hate today that means <strong>malicious<\/strong>, which is incompatible with love\/benevolence, and this type of hate God does not have (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=+Deuteronomy+32%3A4&amp;version=NKJV;AKJV;MEV;RVR1960\">Deut.32:4<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Psalm%205%3A4&amp;version=NKJV;MEV;RVR1960;AKJV\">Psalm 5:4<\/a>) He is <span style=\"color: #800000;\">Holy!<\/span>\u00a0 The word <strong>hate is used in the bible to describe to &#8216;love less&#8217; or to &#8216;reject&#8217;<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=%20%09Genesis%2029%3A30-35%20&amp;version=AKJV\">Gen.29:30-31<\/a>), disgust, etc. That type of hate can certainly co-exist with<strong> benevolence<\/strong>, so there is no contradiction when we properly understand the meaning of these words.<\/p>\n<p>We can find that the object of God&#8217;s hatred<span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #800000;\"> is\u00a0always<\/span> <strong>evil and wickedness.<\/strong> And when referring to people it&#8217;s because of their continual <strong>unrepented<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>sin<\/strong><\/span>, <strong>or iniquity<\/strong>. It is not, that for no reason at all\u00a0God decided to only love a few people (or the elected, according to Reformed \/Calvinist doctrine) &amp; hate the rest or non-elected.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The second part of that verse John 3:16b says: &#8220;<span id=\"en-AKJV-26137\" class=\"text John-3-16\"><em>that <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>whosoever<\/strong><\/span> believeth<strong> in Him<\/strong> should not perish, but have everlasting life<\/em>&#8220;.<\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-26138\" class=\"text John-3-17\"><\/span> God <strong>loves<\/strong> the whole world and wants <span style=\"color: #993300;\">ALL<\/span> to be saved, He longs to have a relationship with us, but He will force no one to yield to His plan.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span id=\"en-NKJV-29720\" class=\"text 1Tim-2-3\">For this <i>is<\/i> good and acceptable in the sight of <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>God<\/strong> our Savior, <\/span><\/span> <span id=\"en-NKJV-29721\" class=\"text 1Tim-2-4\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><sup class=\"versenum\">4\u00a0<\/sup><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">who <strong>desires<\/strong> <strong>all<\/strong> men to be saved<\/span> <\/span>and to <strong>come<\/strong> to the<strong> knowledge of the<\/strong> <strong>truth<\/strong>.<\/span><span id=\"en-NKJV-29722\" class=\"text 1Tim-2-5\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1+timothy+2%3A3-5&amp;version=NKJV\">1 Tim.2:3-4<\/a><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-MEV-30532\" class=\"text 2Pet-3-9\">The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness. But He is patient with us, because <strong>He does not want <span style=\"color: #800000;\">any<\/span> to perish,<span style=\"color: #800000;\"> but all <\/span>to come to repentance. <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=2+Peter+3%3A9&amp;version=NKJV;AKJV;MEV;RVA\">2 Pet.3:9<\/a><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-MEV-30553\" class=\"text 1John-2-2\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">He is the <strong>atoning sacrifice for our sins<\/strong><\/span><strong>,<\/strong> and <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not for ours only<\/span>, but also <\/strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">for the sins of <strong>the whole world<\/strong><\/span><strong>. <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/1-John-2-2\/\">1 John 2:2<\/a><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-MEV-29723\" class=\"text 1Tim-2-6\">who <strong>gave Himself as a ransom <span style=\"color: #800000;\">for all<\/span><\/strong>. This was the testimony given at the proper time. <\/span>\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1+Timothy+2%3A6&amp;version=MEV;NKJV;AKJV;RVR1960\">1 Timothy 2:6<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-AKJV-29920\" class=\"text Titus-2-11\">For the<strong> grace of God that bringeth salvation<\/strong> hath appeared<\/span> to<strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\"> all<\/span> men<\/strong>\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Titus+2%3A11&amp;version=MEV;NKJV;AKJV;RVR1960\">Titus 2:11<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-AKJV-26074\" class=\"text John-1-29\">Behold <\/span><strong><span id=\"en-AKJV-26074\" class=\"text John-1-29\">the Lamb of God,<\/span><\/strong><span id=\"en-AKJV-26074\" class=\"text John-1-29\"> which taketh away the sin of <\/span><strong><span id=\"en-AKJV-26074\" class=\"text John-1-29\">the<\/span> <span style=\"color: #800000;\">world<\/span><\/strong>\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=John+1%3A29&amp;version=MEV;NKJV;AKJV;RVR1960\">John 1:29<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Any denomination that changes or limits the <strong><span id=\"en-MEV-30614\" class=\"text 1John-4-10\">atoning sacrifice<\/span> of Christ to be only for a few<\/strong> chosen ones,\u00a0 is contradicting God&#8217;s Word &amp;<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong> changing the gospel!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Do not believe what others tell you (including us), because we are not going to be judged by what some other person says. On the Day of Judgment (we are not going to be judge according to the Mosaic Law either as some teach) we are going to be judged only by what our Lord said when He came. That is going to be the only standard for judgment. Our Lord <strong>JESUS<\/strong> says in John 12:48:<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;<span style=\"color: #800000;\">The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">word<\/span> that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">I <\/span>have<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> spoken<\/span> will judge him in the last day<\/span><\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>The concept of a<strong> &#8216;Limited Atonement&#8217;<\/strong> means that Jesus didn\u2019t die for everyone, but only for a limited or selected group, namely Calvinism\u2019s \u201celect\u201d or the &#8216;Israelites&#8217; alone, or the Awakened Ephraimites, or the Jehovah&#8217;s witnesses&#8217; elect, etc. The rest or the alleged \u201cnon-elect\u201d wouldn\u2019t have a Savior who really died for them, BUT if they didn\u2019t have a Savior, <strong>then how can they be held accountable for rejecting a Savior that they never had?<\/strong> So a Calvinist (or any &#8216;elected one&#8217;) would then have to say that the rest are<strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<span id=\"en-MEV-26139\" class=\"text John-3-18\"><span class=\"woj\"><em><strong>condemned<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span> for rejecting the grace of Calvary, or for not believing Jesus, but because of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">their<strong> sin<\/strong> or because God hated them for no reason<\/span>. However, that\u2019s not at all what <strong>Jesus said<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Remember in all these passages of <strong>John 3<\/strong>, <span style=\"color: #800000;\">Jesus is talking<\/span>, next verse Jesus is referring to Himself, these are His own words:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span id=\"en-AKJV-26138\" class=\"text John-3-17\"><sup class=\"versenum\">17\u00a0<\/sup>For <strong>God sent <\/strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">not<\/span> <strong>his Son into the world<\/strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> to condemn<\/span> the world; <strong>but that the world <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">through him<\/span> might be saved.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/span>18 &#8216;<span id=\"en-MEV-26139\" class=\"text John-3-18\"><span class=\"woj\">He <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">who <strong>believes<\/strong> <strong>in Him<\/strong> is <strong>not<\/strong> condemned.<\/span> But he who does<span style=\"color: #993300;\"> <strong>not believe<\/strong><\/span><strong> is condemned<\/strong> already, <strong>because<\/strong> he has <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>not believed<\/strong><\/span> in the name of the only begotten <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Son of God<\/strong><\/span><strong>. <\/strong>John 3: 17-18<\/span> <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>What is the reason some are condemned &amp; some are not? because of election? sins? not being of a particular race, an Israelite or an awakened Ephraimite? No, none of those, but because of <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>FAITH<\/strong><\/span>! Either they<span style=\"color: #800000;\"> <strong>believe<\/strong> <strong>HIM<\/strong><\/span> or they don&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>What happens next, is that after we truly believe Him we are indwelled by the <strong>Holy Spirit<\/strong> &amp; as a consequence\u00a0 and because of our love for Him, we will bear some fruit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=John15%3A4-10&amp;version=AKJV;AMP\">John 15:4-10<\/a>.\u00a0 Those fruits got nothing to do with keeping the Mosaic Law (Old Covenant) as some teach, but<strong> with the Holy Spirit working in us, in our hearts. <\/strong>We need to remain in Jesus &amp; <strong>His words<\/strong> remain\u00a0 in us. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=John%2015&amp;version=AKJV;MEV;NKJV;RVR1960\">Jn 15:7<\/a><span id=\"en-NKJV-26249\" class=\"text John-5-38\"><\/span><span id=\"en-NKJV-26251\" class=\"text John-5-40\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We all have a choice to make, either we <span style=\"color: #800000;\">believe God<\/span> or we believe that other voice, we have the same choice as Adam &amp; Eve! If we reject the Word of God as our only authority, then we are rejecting God&#8217;s authority, the Truth &amp; we will be on our way to deception, we will accept a lie.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span id=\"en-AKJV-26142\" class=\"text John-3-21\"><span id=\"en-NKJV-26139\" class=\"text John-3-18\"><\/span> <span id=\"en-NKJV-26140\" class=\"text John-3-19\"><sup class=\"versenum\">19\u00a0<\/sup><span class=\"woj\">And <strong>this is the condemnation<\/strong>,<\/span> <span class=\"woj\">that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #800000; text-decoration: underline;\">the light<\/span> has come into the world<\/span>, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.<\/span> <\/span> <span id=\"en-NKJV-26141\" class=\"text John-3-20\"><sup class=\"versenum\">20\u00a0<\/sup><span class=\"woj\">For<\/span> <span class=\"woj\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">everyone practicing evil hates the light<\/span> and<span style=\"color: #800000;\"> does not come<\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\"> to the light<\/span><\/strong>, lest his deeds should be exposed.<\/span> <\/span> <span id=\"en-NKJV-26142\" class=\"text John-3-21\"><sup class=\"versenum\">21\u00a0<\/sup><span class=\"woj\">But <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">he who does the truth <span style=\"color: #800000; text-decoration: underline;\">comes to the <strong>light<\/strong><\/span><\/span>, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been<\/span> <span class=\"woj\">done in God.\u201d<\/span><\/span>. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=John%203&amp;version=MEV;AKJV;NKJV;YLT\">John 3: 16-21<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text John-8-12\">Again, <strong>Jesus spoke<\/strong> to them, saying, <span class=\"woj\">\u201c<strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">I am the light of the world<\/span><\/strong>. Whoever follows Me <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">shall not walk in the darkness<\/span>, but shall have the<strong> light<\/strong> of life.\u201d<\/span><\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=John%208%3A12&amp;version=NKJV;MEV;AKJV;RVR1960\">John 8:12<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>God is light &amp; in Him there is not darkness at all. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1+John+1%3A5&amp;version=AKJV;NKJV;RVR1960;MEV\">1 John 1:5<\/a>,\u00a0 Jews knew God is light: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Psalm+27%3A1%2C+Habakkuk+3%3A4%2C+Hosea+6%3A5%2C+Isaiah+51%3A4%2C+1.&amp;version=AKJV;NKJV;RVR1960;MEV\">Psalm 27:1, Habakkuk 3:4, Hosea 6:5, Isaiah 51:4, 1.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cristolaverdad.com\/?p=2013\">Five point Calvinists<\/a> teach that<span style=\"color: #800000;\"> faith<\/span> is a gift of God, which is put in the sinner\u2019s heart that was elected for salvation. But the Bible teaches otherwise. <span style=\"color: #800000;\">It&#8217;s salvation that is a gift of God<\/span> &amp; it&#8217;s not by works we do. But <strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">faith<\/span> comes by <span style=\"color: #800000;\">hearing<\/span> God&#8217;s Word<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em><span class=\"text Heb-1-1\">God, who at various times and in diverse ways<strong> spoke long ago to the fathers <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">through the prophets<\/span><\/strong>, <\/span> <\/em><span id=\"en-MEV-29966\" class=\"text Heb-1-2\"><em><sup class=\"versenum\">2\u00a0<\/sup>has <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #800000; text-decoration: underline;\">in these last days<strong> spoken to us by His Son<\/strong><\/span><\/span>, whom He has appointed <strong>heir of all things,<\/strong> and through whom He made the world<\/em>.<\/span>&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Hebrews%201%3A1-3&amp;version=NKJV;MEV;RVR1960;OJB\">Hebrews 1:1-3<\/a>.\u00a0 Today we proclaim His spoken words.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>The hour\u2026now is, when the <strong>dead<\/strong> shall<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> hear<\/span> <span style=\"color: #800000;\">the voice of the Son of God<\/span><\/strong>: and they <strong>that hear<\/strong> shall live<\/em>\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/John-5-25\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">John:5:25<\/a>).<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"line\"><span id=\"en-MEV-28202\" class=\"text Rom-10-13\">For, \u201cEveryone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be <strong>saved<\/strong>.\u201d<\/span><span class=\"text Rom-10-14\"><sup class=\"versenum\">14\u00a0<\/sup>How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him. Luke 8:18<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span id=\"en-MEV-28203\" class=\"text Rom-10-14\"><span id=\"en-MEV-28207\" class=\"text Rom-10-18\"><strong>Then why some people are able to believe or<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> have faith<\/span> &amp; some others don&#8217;t ?<\/strong> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-MEV-28203\" class=\"text Rom-10-14\"><span id=\"en-MEV-28207\" class=\"text Rom-10-18\">First, it is necessary for the real gospel of Christ to be preached so that sinners can <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>hear<\/strong><\/span>, then believe &amp; be saved.\u00a0 Many haven&#8217;t heard the <strong>real gospel<\/strong>, some have heard a counterfeit &amp; many others are trying to be good or doing good works to attain salvation. (many of them belong to religious groups that are <strong>ministers of the Old Covenant<\/strong> or a mix. The only way to read &amp; understand the Old Testament, is through Jesus Christ. If someone does not believe that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Jesus is the Christ<\/span>, a veil remains when reading the Old Testament. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=2%20Cor.3%3A11-17&amp;version=AKJV;NKJV;MEV;RVR1960\">2 Cor.3:11-17<\/a>). This is one of the reason we must preach the true gospel to every person, in every nation, in the whole world (<a class=\"rtBibleRef\" href=\"https:\/\/biblia.com\/bible\/nasb95\/Matt%2028.19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-reference=\"Matt 28.19\" data-version=\"nasb95\" data-purpose=\"bible-reference\">Matthew 28:19<\/a>, <a class=\"rtBibleRef\" href=\"https:\/\/biblia.com\/bible\/nasb95\/Matthew%2028.20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-reference=\"Matthew 28.20\" data-version=\"nasb95\" data-purpose=\"bible-reference\">20<\/a>; <a class=\"rtBibleRef\" href=\"https:\/\/biblia.com\/bible\/nasb95\/Mark%2016.15\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-reference=\"Mark 16.15\" data-version=\"nasb95\" data-purpose=\"bible-reference\">Mark 16:15<\/a>,<a class=\"rtBibleRef\" href=\"https:\/\/biblia.com\/bible\/nasb95\/Mark%2016.16\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-reference=\"Mark 16.16\" data-version=\"nasb95\" data-purpose=\"bible-reference\">16<\/a>; <a class=\"rtBibleRef\" href=\"https:\/\/biblia.com\/bible\/nasb95\/Luke%2024.46\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-reference=\"Luke 24.46\" data-version=\"nasb95\" data-purpose=\"bible-reference\">Luke 24:46<\/a>, <a class=\"rtBibleRef\" href=\"https:\/\/biblia.com\/bible\/nasb95\/Luke%2024.47\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-reference=\"Luke 24.47\" data-version=\"nasb95\" data-purpose=\"bible-reference\">47<\/a>). <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-MEV-28203\" class=\"text Rom-10-14\"><span id=\"en-MEV-28207\" class=\"text Rom-10-18\">Second, I recommend you to read the <a href=\"http:\/\/cristolaverdad.com\/?p=820\"><strong>Parable of the Sower<\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong> The seed, is the Word of God &amp; it&#8217;s given <strong>to everybody<\/strong> when we preach the gospel, but it depends on <strong>the condition of the <a href=\"http:\/\/cristolaverdad.com\/?p=2496\">heart<\/a><\/strong> (soil\/ground) to receive it, keep it &amp; then give fruit.
