To study the Bible we can follow this 4 steps:<\/p>\n

1\/ Setting the context: \u201cABCs\u201d
\n2\/ What does the passage say ? (Observation)
\n3\/ What does it mean? (Meaning)
\n4\/ How does the principle apply to one specific area of my life? (Application)
\n2 Timothy 3:16-17<\/a>.<\/p>\n

PSALM 24<\/a>\u00a0 – <\/strong>A Psalm of David. (video song<\/a>)<\/p>\n

1 The earth is the Lord\u2019s, and the fullness thereof<\/span>;
\nthe world, and they that dwell therein<\/span>.
\n2 For he hath founded it upon the seas,
\nand established it upon the floods.
\n3 Who<\/span> shall ascend into the hill of the Lord?
\nor who shall stand in his holy place?
\n4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart<\/span>;<\/span>
\nwho hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.<\/span>
\n5 He shall receive the blessing<\/span> from the Lord,
\nand righteousness<\/span> from the God of his<\/span> salvation<\/span>.
\n6 This is the generation of them that seek him,
\nthat seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.<\/p>\n

7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates;
\nand be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors;
\nand the King of glory<\/span> shall come in.
\n8 Who is this King of glory?<\/span>
\nThe Lord strong and mighty,<\/span>
\nthe Lord mighty in battle.<\/span>
\n9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates;
\neven lift them up, ye everlasting doors;
\nand the King of glory shall come in.<\/span>
\n10 Who is this King of glory?<\/span>
\nThe Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory<\/span>. Selah.<\/p>\n

Outline of Psalm 24<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I. The King of Glory<\/strong>\u2014Psalm 24:1-10<\/p>\n

A. Worship of the Creator through the observation of His creation<\/strong>–(vs.1-2)<\/p>\n

1. \u201cThe earth is the LORD\u2019s\u201d Psalm 24:1
\n-The LORD has ownership over the earth–(vs.1a)
\n-The LORD has ownership over the world and all the people (animals, etc) within it. –(vs.1b) Psalm 50:10-11;
\nJob 41:11; 1 Cor.10:26; Psalm 89:11<\/p>\n

2. For He has founded it & established it –Psalm 24:2 -(Gen. 1:9, John 1:3, Col.1:15-23; Psalm 104; Prov. 3:19)
\n-The LORD has the ownership because He is the creator of the earth and all within it. (vs.2)<\/p>\n

B. Who can stand in God’s presence (vs.3-6)<\/p>\n

– \u201cWho shall ascend the hill of the LORD? or Who shall stand in His holy place?\u201d (vs.3) (mount Zion), (Were the ark of God’s presence rested) (Psalm 15:1; 2:6; 65:4)<\/p>\n

Answer: (vs.4 & 6) (Requirements to come to God’s presence or to worship Him)
\n1. He that hath clean hands<\/strong>, (vs.4) or has not done evil, Job 17:9, 22:30
\n2. and a pure heart<\/span><\/strong>; (Matthew 5:8; Proverbs 4: 23; Acts8:22; Psalm 51:1-3,10-11 )
\n3. who hath not<\/strong> lifted up his soul unto vanity,<\/strong>
\n4. nor sworn deceitfully<\/strong>
\n5. who seeks the face of God<\/strong> (vs.6) through His son Jesus Christ in the New Covenant (John 14:6)<\/p>\n

Now through faith in Jesus Christ we are able to receive the blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of salvation to all who believe (Rom. 3:22), Is.46:13; psalm 25:5<\/p>\n

C. Honor the King of glory<\/span><\/strong>— (vs. 7-10)- 1 Cor. 2:8, James 2:1, Rev. 19:13-16<\/p>\n

1. **Open the gates \u201cthat the King of glory may come in\u201d \u2013 (vs.7, 9) (The temple is now our hearts<\/span>: Rev.19:13-16).
\n2. \u201cWho is the King of glory?\u201d –( vs. 8, 10)
\n3. \u201cThe LORD\u2026He is the King of glory!<\/span><\/strong>\u201d –(vs. 8, 10) Let us worship our Lord & King!! <\/strong>“O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before Him, all the earth<\/em>“. (Psalms 96:9<\/a>)
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

1 The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament shows His handiwork.
\n2\u00a0 Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night declares knowledge.
\n3\u00a0 There is no speech and there are no words; their voice is not heard.
\n4 Their line has gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. (Psalm 19:1-4)<\/p>\n
