{"id":2259,"date":"2016-04-12T14:41:40","date_gmt":"2016-04-12T18:41:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cristolaverdad.com\/?p=2259"},"modified":"2026-01-15T20:58:03","modified_gmt":"2026-01-16T01:58:03","slug":"examining-calvinism-election-sovereignty-pt-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/cristolaverdad.com\/?p=2259","title":{"rendered":"Examining Calvinism, Pt. 2 &#8211; Election"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"seriesmeta\">This entry is part 2 of 4 in the series <a href=\"http:\/\/cristolaverdad.com\/?series=calvinism\" class=\"series-38\" title=\"Calvinism\">Calvinism<\/a><\/div><blockquote><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Romans-Chapter-9\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\"><strong>Romans 9<\/strong>:12-13<\/a>: &#8220;It was said unto her, <strong>The elder shall serve the younger<\/strong>. <span id=\"en-AKJV-28169\" class=\"text Rom-9-13\">As it is written, <strong>Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.<\/strong><\/span><strong>&#8220;<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Calvinists teach that <strong>Romans 9:13<\/strong> proves &#8216;election&#8217;, that Jacob was predestined by God, to<strong> heaven<\/strong> and Esau was predestined by God, to<strong> hell<\/strong> even before they were born.\u00a0 Based on this verse they teach God chose some people for heaven &amp;\u00a0 some people to go to Hell for no reason at all, nothing to do with sin. But this isn&#8217;t true!<\/p>\n<p>This a more complex chapter (needs more biblical historical background for the proper context) &amp; could be a difficult passage for some to understand it well. Unfortunately Calvinists use this chapter 9 to convert people to Calvinism, to convince them of their view on <span style=\"color: #800000;\">predetermined election<\/span>, &amp; even use it on the unsaved people or babes in Christ who still don&#8217;t understand Bible doctrine properly, causing confusion to many.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>John Piper<\/strong> stated that \u2018the divine decision to \u201chate\u201d Esau was made \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">before they were born<\/span> or had done anything good or evil\u201d. But you won&#8217;t find this in the book of Genesis when their birth is mentioned, God didn&#8217;t say &#8216;<span id=\"en-AKJV-28169\" class=\"text Rom-9-13\">Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated<\/span>&#8216; before or when Jacob &amp; Esau were born, but at least <strong>1,400 years<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> after<\/span> their death\u00a0<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Malachi-1-2_1-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">Malachi 1:2-3<\/a>.\u00a0 Esau the older never served the younger Jacob ( later called Israel), on the contrary Jacob was afraid of Esau &amp; even gave of his possessions to him (Gen.25 &#8211; 33). <strong>Did the prophecy fail?<\/strong> (If it referred to individuals, yes; if to nations, no), are there contradictions in God&#8217;s Words? of course not!\u00a0 Remember they represent <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">two nations<\/span>, Israel &amp; Edom, their descendants. Esau is Edom &amp; Jacob is Israel. &#8220;<em>Now these are the generations of <strong>Esau, who is Edom<\/strong><\/em>.&#8221; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Genesis-Chapter-36\/\">Gen.36:1.<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Edom did serve &amp; hated Israel.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;And the LORD said unto her ,<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Two nations<\/span> are in thy womb, <\/strong>and <strong>two manner of people<\/strong> shall be separated from thy bowels; and [the one] <strong>people<\/strong> shall be stronger than [the other]<strong> people<\/strong>; and <strong>the elder shall serve the younger&#8221;. \u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Genesis%2025%3A23&amp;version=AKJV;MEV;NKJV;RVR1960;YLT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Genesis 25:23<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It is very important to take into consideration that God also called <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">the people of Israel<\/span> &#8216;<strong>Jacob<\/strong>&#8216;, &#8216;sons of Jacob&#8217; &amp; &#8216;Jacob&#8217;s house&#8217; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">after<\/span> Jacob&#8217;s death to acknowledge His covenant with them, Jacob&#8217;s descendants.\u00a0\u201c<em>From following the ewes great with young he brought him <strong>to feed <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Jacob his people<\/span><\/strong>, and Israel his inheritance<\/em>&#8221; <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Psalms-78-71\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">Psalms 78:71<\/a><\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Deuteronomy-32-9\/\" class=\"broken_link\">Deut. 32:9<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Deuteronomy-33-4\/\" class=\"broken_link\">33:4<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Numbers-23-7\/\" class=\"broken_link\">Num. 23:7<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Numbers-24-5\/\" class=\"broken_link\">24:5<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Jeremiah+30%3A1-10&amp;version=AKJV;MEV;NKJV;RVR1960;YLT\">Jerem. 30<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Psalms-24-6\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Psalms 24:6<\/a><strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Psalms-44-4\/\" class=\"broken_link\">44:4<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Psalms-59-13\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">Psalms 59:13<\/a> ,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Psalms-78-21\/\">78:21<\/a>,<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Isaiah-43-1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">Isaiah 43:1<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Malachi%201%3A1-4&amp;version=MEV;NKJV;RVR1960;AKJV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Malachi 1:1-4<\/a>, etc.\u00a0 Jews were familiar with this notion, Jacob is seen in the Jewish tradition as representing the Jewish people.\u00a0 (even so that we believe Jacob was chosen to continue to bring the lineage of the Messiah instead Esau, &amp; to carry the blessing of the promise,\u00a0 still he wasn&#8217;t chosen for salvation but for a purpose or service &amp; he represents Israel).<\/p>\n<p>Romans 9 (also chapters 10 &amp; 11) is talking about the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Deuteronomy-7-6\/\" class=\"broken_link\">elected<\/a><\/strong> nation of Israel, not elected for salvation (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Deuteronomy-7-8\/\">Deut. 7:7-9<\/a>), but in context (applying <a href=\"http:\/\/www.compellingtruth.org\/biblical-exegesis.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">exegesis<\/a>), for God&#8217;s service, to bring the law, the promises, the Scriptures,\u00a0 the Messiah. Please see more:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.slideshare.net\/trevorbowen313\/unconditional-election-understanding-romans-9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Understanding Romans 9<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.examiningcalvinism.com\/files\/Paul\/Romans9_11.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jacob I loved Esau I Hated<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>God does not predestine or <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>elects<\/strong> people to everlasting life<\/span>, but for service, &amp; to \u201cbe <strong>conformed<\/strong> to the image of his Son\u201c (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Romans-8-29\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">Rom.8:9<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>We all agree there cannot be a contradiction in God. If God elects people for salvation without a reason, because He pleases, after saying in many occasions in His Word that He desires all to be save, doesn&#8217;t want any to perish, etc. contradicting Himself in that and many other subjects; Then the character of God would be at stake, he couldn&#8217;t be trusted. . . But of course that&#8217;s not the God of the bible, but the God Calvinists erroneously portrait.\u00a0 Even some of them say publicly they have a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=gKEpVzHnUw0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">different God<\/a><\/strong>, min. 2:37.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In Scripture<span style=\"color: #993300;\"> <strong>Jesus Christ is the Elect one<\/strong> <\/span>&#8211; &#8220;<span class=\"chapter-2\"><span id=\"en-AKJV-18482\" class=\"text Isa-42-1\">Behold my servant, whom I uphold; <\/span><\/span><span class=\"text Isa-42-1\"><strong>mine elect<\/strong>, <i>in whom<\/i> my soul delighteth&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Isaiah+42&amp;version=NKJV;MEV;AKJV;RVR1960\">Isaiah 42:1<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Isaiah-42-1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">Isaiah 42:20<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Luke-23-35\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\"> Luke 23:35<\/a><\/strong>&#8211; , (again, <strong>not<\/strong> elected unto salvation, He didn&#8217;t need eternal life, He is eternal life), and individual persons become elect or chosen, not through an eternal divine decree from God unto salvation, but because of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">faith in Christ<\/span> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/James-2-5\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">James 2:5<\/a>), God has sovereignly chosen <strong>the believers, <\/strong>the rich in<strong> faith<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">as His special people, His adopted children<\/span>, He has plans for them, (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/1-Peter-2-9\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">1 Peter 2:9<\/a>) but people ENTER the body, the family of believers <span style=\"color: #993300;\">through faith<\/span>. Remember we Christians don&#8217;t leave for ourselves\u00a0 any more but for Christ, He leaves in us, our lives belong to Him.(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Galatians-2-20\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">Gal.2:20<\/a>). We are to <strong>stay <span style=\"color: #993300;\">in<\/span> Christ.\u00a0 <\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>There is<\/i> therefore now no condemnation to them which <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">are<\/span><span style=\"color: #993300;\"> in<\/span> Christ Jesus<\/strong>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>who walk<\/strong> not after the flesh<\/span>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">but<strong> after the Spirit<\/strong><\/span><strong>.<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Romans-8-1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">Romans 8:1<\/a><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>According as <strong>he hath <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #993300; text-decoration: underline;\">chosen<\/span> us<\/span> <span style=\"color: #993300;\">in<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">him<\/span><\/strong> before the foundation of the world, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>that we<\/strong><\/span> <strong>should be<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #993300;\">holy and without blame<\/span> before him <span style=\"color: #993300;\">in love<\/span><span style=\"color: #993300;\">.<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Ephesians-1-4\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">Eph. 1:4<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Salvation is by God\u2019s grace <\/strong>(undeserved favor)<strong> through faith<\/strong> alone (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Ephesians-2-8_2-9\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">Ephesians 2:8-9<\/a>), not by works. The Scriptures is clear &amp; consistent in showing that <strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\">faith<\/span> precedes<\/strong> and is the condition for <strong>spiritual life<\/strong>, the <strong>new birth<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cTherefore being<strong> justified by <\/strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\">faith<\/span>, we have peace with God<strong> through our Lord Jesus Christ:<\/strong>\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20211020093551\/https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Romans-5-1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rom.5:1<\/a>,<\/p>\n<p>By whom also<strong> we have access by<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #993300;\">faith<\/span> <strong>into this<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> grace<\/span><\/strong> wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Romans-5-2\/\" class=\"broken_link\">Romans 5:2<\/a><\/p>\n<p>But these are written, <strong>that ye might <\/strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\">believe<\/span><strong> that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God<\/strong>; and that<span style=\"color: #993300;\"> believing<\/span> ye might have<span style=\"color: #993300;\"> life<\/span> <strong>through his name<\/strong>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/John-20-31\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">John 20:31<\/a>;<\/p>\n<p>Knowing that a man is not <strong>justified<\/strong> by the works of the law, but <strong>by the<\/strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\"> faith<\/span> <strong>of Jesus Christ<\/strong>, even we have <span style=\"color: #993300;\">believed<\/span> in Jesus Christ.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Galatians-2-16\/\">Gal. 2:16<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In whom ye also<span style=\"color: #993300;\"> <em>trusted<\/em><\/span><strong>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">after<\/span><\/strong> that <strong>ye<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> heard<\/span> the word<\/strong> of truth, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">the gospel<\/span> of your salvation: in whom also<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> after<\/span> that ye <\/strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #993300;\">believed<\/span>, ye were <strong>sealed<\/strong> with that<strong> holy Spirit<\/strong> of promise. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Ephesians-1-13\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Eph. 1:13<\/a>,<\/p>\n<p>See more :\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/John-3-16\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">John 3:16<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Romans-1-16_1-17\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">Rom.1:16-17<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Romans-10-9\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">Rom. 10:9<\/a>,\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Romans-10-17\/\" class=\"broken_link\">Romans 10:17<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/1-Peter-1-23_1-25\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">1 Pt 1:23-25,\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Hebrews-11-6\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Heb. 11:6<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/1-Peter-1-23_1-25\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">.<\/a> etc.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>But most Calvinists theologians &amp; teachers believe <strong>the opposite<\/strong>, that <strong>life<\/strong>, the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>new birth <\/strong><\/span>(Regeneration)<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong> precedes<\/strong><\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\"> faith <\/span>in Christ:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2013 R.C. Sproul writes: \u201c<em>The Reformed view \u2026 teaches that<strong> before<\/strong> a person can choose Christ \u2026 he must be born again \u2026<\/em> one does<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> not first believe<\/span> and then become reborn<\/strong>. <em>A <strong>cardinal point of <\/strong>Reformed theology is the maxim: \u2018<span style=\"color: #993300;\">Regeneration precedes faith<\/span>.\u2019<span class=\"size14 TimesRoman14\">,\u00a0<\/span><\/em> \u00a0<em>\u201cThe Reformed view of predestination teaches that<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> before<\/span> a person can choose Christ<\/strong> his heart must be changed. He must be born again.\u201d <\/em>(Chosen By God, pp.10, 72-73).<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 \u201c<em>Man is dead in trespasses and sins (Eph. 2:1). He cannot make himself new, or create new life in himself. He <strong>must <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">be born<\/span> of God. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Then<\/span><\/strong>, with the new nature of God, he sees Christ for who he really is, and freely <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">receives<\/span> Christ<\/strong> for all that he is<\/em>\u201c. (John Piper, \u2018Five Points\u2019 pg 35).<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 <em>A man is <strong>not regenerated because he has <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">first believed<\/span> in Christ<\/strong>, but he believes in Christ because has been regenerated<\/em> (A. Pink, The Sovereignty of God).<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \u2026 <em><strong>Regeneration<\/strong> logically must<strong> initiate faith<\/strong><\/em> (MacArthur, Faith Works, 62)<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ctl00_MainContent_lblContent\" class=\"blogLinks\">\u2013 \u201c<em>You have been raised on this: <strong>\u2018If you believe in Jesus<\/strong> you will be born-again\u2019; All the early Baptist confessions say: \u2018ye<strong> must be born-again<\/strong> in order to believe in Jesus.\u2019 That\u2019s the difference!<\/em>\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/wRGMp0md5CE?t=7m5s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Paul\u00a0 Washer-video<\/a>.\u00a0 <\/span>(also <a href=\"https:\/\/standforthefaith.com\/2014\/02\/22\/the-gospel-according-to-paul-washer-pt1-the-gospels-power-and-message\/\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0 Calvinist Theologian Allan R. I disagree in that, but agree with him that <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">both<\/span> cannot be true<\/strong>, there is only<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/cristolaverdad.com\/?p=1606\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">one gospel<\/a><\/strong>, but we find it in the Scriptures, not in<strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\"> man<\/span>-made<\/strong> doctrines.<\/p>\n<p>What would happen then to millions of Christians who lived during the 1,500 years before Calvinism ? What about the early church? They never taught Calvinism,<strong> where they teaching a false or incomplete gospel?<\/strong> Please let us study well our bibles, &amp; compare everything with the Word of God. Also always keep in mind, a Christians that have a true relationship with Jesus, <strong>will never point you to a <span style=\"color: #993300;\">man<\/span><\/strong>-made theology or their denomination for salvation (sects do that), instead they will always<strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\"> point you to Jesus Christ &amp; His Word<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Acts-1-8\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">Acts 1:8<\/a>,\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=John%2014%3A6&amp;version=KJV;MEV;NKJV;RVR1960\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">John 14:6<\/a>.\u00a0 The <strong>Holy Spirit<\/strong> will point us to <span style=\"color: #993300;\">Jesus<\/span>\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/John-15-26\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">John 15:26<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The gospel is <span style=\"color: #993300;\">GOD<\/span>&#8216;s<strong> message of salvation<\/strong> found in the Scriptures. The<strong> 5 points<\/strong> of Calvinism is a<strong> man<\/strong>-made system reaffirmed by the Synod of Dordt in 1619 as the<strong> &#8216;Doctrine of Salvation&#8217;<\/strong> , it changes God&#8217;s message or gospel. If we aren&#8217;t clear about that, at least we should be clear in this crucial point, that if Calvinism rejects <strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Unlimited Atonement<\/span>,<\/strong> (<span class=\"text 1John-2-2\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/1-John-2-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">1 John 2:2<\/a><\/span>,\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/John-3-16\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">John 3:16<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Romans-1-16_1-17\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">Rom.1:16-17<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Romans-10-9\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">Rom. 10:9<\/a>, etc.) then <strong>it rejects the Gospel of the Scriptures<\/strong>, and is in danger of a curse, according to Galatians 1:9.
