For all things are yours;\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-28433\" class=\"text 1Cor-3-22\">whether<strong> Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas<\/strong>, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-28434\" class=\"text 1Cor-3-23\">and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>ye are Christ\u2019s<\/strong>;<\/span> and Christ <i>is<\/i> God\u2019s.<\/span> <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/1-Corinthians-Chapter-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">1 Corinthians. 3:1-23<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This bible verse is often misinterpreted. When reading it, at simple view, it may seem to some that Paul is saying <strong>division among Christian denominations is carnal.<\/strong> Some go as far as to accuse their brethren of being carnal just because they expose false doctrines or false teachers, not realizing they are the ones acting in a carnal way.\u00a0 Others even say that Peter (Cephas) is the founder of the Catholic church &amp; for that reason we should accept this denomination as part of the body, otherwise it would mean we are carnal or divisive.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->But Peter was not the founder of the Catholic Church, nor the first pope nor the rock. He was named pope by the Vatican hundreds of years after the apostle Peter had passed away. Moreover the Catholic church <a href=\"http:\/\/cristolaverdad.com\/?p=16\">doesn&#8217;t teach the same doctrine<\/a> that the apostle Peter taught. . .but this is another topic for another time. Let us study a little more about the bible verse above.<\/p>\n<p>We cannot emphasize enough how important is to study &amp; read the bible\u00a0<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong> in context<\/strong>,<\/span> taking verses out of context causes confusion &amp; division among believers, it does much harm to the gospel &amp; to the body of Christ. Taking verses out of context means we are not rightly dividing the Word of truth (<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20240128142735\/https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/2-Timothy-2-15\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">2 Tim.2:15<\/a>), it shows we need to study the bible more deeply (specially before becoming teachers of the Word), it also may indicate spiritual immaturity.<\/p>\n<p>It is normal for recent believers to be carnal or fleshly. Spiritual maturity doesn\u2019t happen over night, it <strong>requires time<\/strong>, it requires daily submitting to the Holy Spirit and a good knowledge of the Word of God. However Paul\u2019s admonition reveals that he felt the believers at Corinth should have grown but they had failed to do so, they were still walking in the flesh.<\/p>\n<p>The apostle Paul was writing his concerns to the church of Corinth after hearing there were divisions &amp; strife (carnality or works of the flesh) among them.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span id=\"en-AKJV-29179\" class=\"text Gal-5-16\"><i>This<\/i> I say then, <strong>Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-29180\" class=\"text Gal-5-17\">For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-29181\" class=\"text Gal-5-18\">But if ye<strong> be led of the Spirit, <\/strong>ye are not under the law.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-AKJV-29182\" class=\"text Gal-5-19\">Now the <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>works of the flesh<\/strong><\/span> are manifest, which are <i>these;<\/i> Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-29183\" class=\"text Gal-5-20\">idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, <strong>variance<\/strong> <span id=\"en-AKJV-28414\" class=\"text 1Cor-3-3\">(<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20160407104051\/http:\/\/www.bibletools.org:80\/index.cfm\/fuseaction\/Lexicon.show\/ID\/G2054\/eris.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">G2054<\/a><\/strong>= contentions )<\/span> <strong>emulations<\/strong> (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20160406162650\/http:\/\/www.bibletools.org:80\/index.cfm\/fuseaction\/Lexicon.show\/ID\/G2205\/zelos.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">G2205<\/a><\/strong>= Jealousy), wrath, strife,<strong> seditions<\/strong> <span id=\"en-AKJV-28414\" class=\"text 1Cor-3-3\">(<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20160407111520\/http:\/\/www.bibletools.org:80\/index.cfm\/fuseaction\/Lexicon.show\/ID\/G1370\/dichostsis.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">G1370<\/a><\/strong>=\u00a0dissension, division, sedition )<\/span>,<span style=\"color: #993300;\"> heresies <span style=\"color: #808080;\">(G137)<\/span><\/span><strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-29184\" class=\"text Gal-5-21\">envyings (G5355), murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told <i>you<\/i> in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20170406151322\/https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Galatians-5-16_5-20\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Galatians 5:16-20<\/a><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>We notice in this verse of Galatians about <span style=\"color: #993300;\">work of the flesh<\/span>, that the apostle Paul used exactly\u00a0 3 of the sames words he said to the Corinthians.\u00a0<strong> Divisions, <span id=\"en-AKJV-28414\" class=\"text 1Cor-3-3\">Jealousy<\/span> and strife<\/strong> are not the only signs of fleshiness, but these were some of the most evident things among the Corinthians.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The fruits we should look for<\/strong> in the Church today, mainly<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> in teachers &amp; leaders<\/span> are the<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong> fruit of the Spirit<\/strong><\/span>, not how big their ministry is, or how many people they reach, nor how many books they wrote, etc. <span style=\"color: #800000;\">Instead, how much they love others?<\/span> are they protecting the sheep from false doctrines, serving even the least of them, or are they using them for personal gain, to acquire recognition or power? are they following Christ example as a servant?<\/p>\n<p><strong>The spiritual man is led by the Holy Spirit and will manifest the Fruit of the Spirit,<\/strong> and the main one is <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>love<\/strong>.<\/span> 1 Cor. 13<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 377px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com\/236x\/99\/ae\/94\/99ae947b707b76c7dc418fcb2b6ed7d2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"367\" height=\"367\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">The spiritual man is led by the Holy Spirit and will produce the Fruit of the Spirit<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The Corinthians probably thought of themselves as spiritual people, but their strifes showed that they were in fact fleshly. The problems they were having in their human relationships showed there was something wrong<strong> in their relationship with God<\/strong> also. It was evidence of carnality, of a fleshly way of thinking and living.<\/p>\n<p>We humans have a tendency to make idols. In idolatry we put something or someone, usually a gift from God, in a place of value that takes the first place owed to God alone, the gift Giver.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What caused the strife &amp; dissensions among the Corinthians?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>They were <span style=\"color: #993300;\">following men, leaders, teachers<\/span>. It seams they were getting too attached to the person <span id=\"en-NIV-28416\" class=\"text 1Cor-3-5\">through <\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-28416\" class=\"text 1Cor-3-5\"><span id=\"en-NIV-28416\" class=\"text 1Cor-3-5\"> whom they came to believe<\/span> in Christ<\/span>, or may be some were looking for the most anointed or the greatest teacher to follow him.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span id=\"en-AKJV-28376\" class=\"text 1Cor-1-12\"> . . .that every one of you saith,<strong> I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas<\/strong>; and I of Christ.\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-28377\" class=\"text 1Cor-1-13\"> Is Christ divided? <strong>was Paul crucified for you?<\/strong> or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20231205190810\/https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/1-Corinthians-1-10_1-13\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1 Cor. 1: 10-13<\/a><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>They got their eyes off the Lord and on the Lord&#8217;s servants, and <strong>this led to competition<\/strong>.\u00a0This behavior of following men is common in many Christian churches today,\u00a0 it&#8217;s known as &#8216;Cult of Personality&#8217;. Followers of men identify themselves with their leaders rather than with God. In this case they even said <strong>I&#8217;m of.<\/strong> . . like they belonged to them.<\/p>\n<p>Paul calls these<strong> carnal<\/strong> Christians &#8216;brethren&#8217;, (they are not unsaved\/natural man like 1 Cor. 2:14) but they are not behaving like<strong> spiritual<\/strong> Christians either, rather they are behaving like <strong>carnal<\/strong> people- that is, fleshly -people, like <strong>immature Christians<\/strong> or babes in Christ.<\/p>\n<p>We know Paul was apostle to the gentiles &amp; Peter apostle to the Jews (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?searchhttps:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Galatians-2-7\/=Galatians+2%3A7&amp;version=AKJV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gal. 2:7<\/a>) but<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Galatians%203:28\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">one in Christ<\/a><\/strong>, &amp; they where great teachers of the Word of God, but we may not know that Apollos was also a great teacher, specially among the converted Jews:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span id=\"en-AKJV-27582\" class=\"text Acts-18-24\">And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an <strong>eloquent man, <i>and<\/i> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">mighty in the scriptures<\/span>,<\/strong> came to Ephesus.\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-27583\" class=\"text Acts-18-25\">This man was <strong>instructed in the way of the Lord<\/strong>; and being fervent in the spirit, he <strong>spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord<\/strong>, <span style=\"color: #800000;\">knowing only the baptism of John<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-27584\" class=\"text Acts-18-26\">And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto <i>them<\/i>, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-27585\" class=\"text Acts-18-27\">And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-27586\" class=\"text Acts-18-28\">for <strong>he mightily convinced the Jews, <i>and that<\/i> publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20240409160922\/https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Acts-18-24_18-28\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Acts 18: 24-28<\/a><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Apollos was a converted Jew who worked for the Lord, mainly in Ephesus and the province of Achaia which capital was Corinth. It is understandable that some may liked his teachings, he was eloquent &amp; mighty in the Scriptures, but the problem was when many were taking this favoritism to a point where it was causing division among members of the same church.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>The division in Corinth <\/strong>that Paul addressed<\/span> (1 Cor. 3)<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong> was NOT DOCTRINAL<\/strong><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">, <\/span><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>ALL of these teachers<\/strong><\/span> mentioned there, were teaching the <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>same doctrine<\/strong><\/span>, the <strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\">same gospel<\/span>,<\/strong> the<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong> same Lord Jesus<\/strong><\/span>. They <strong>didn&#8217;t have different denominations<\/strong>, for that reason is <span style=\"color: #800000;\">NOT talking about <strong>unity among different denominations or faiths<\/strong><\/span><strong>!<\/strong> Besides, accepting a <strong>different doctrine<\/strong> would be a contradiction and there are not contradictions in the Word of God, there is only a lack of information on our part or we are taking verses out of context. There is only one spiritual truth!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Teachers<\/strong><\/span> &amp; doctrines<\/span> (teachings) go together, hand in hand. That&#8217;s the reason the bible warn us about <strong>false prophets &amp; teachers<\/strong>, because of their false doctrines. How can God tells us in His Word to avoid them <span id=\"en-AKJV-28354\" class=\"text Rom-16-17\">which cause divisions and offenses <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">contrary to the <strong>doctrine<\/strong><\/span> we learned<\/span> (<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210624200315\/https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Romans-16-17_16-18\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">Romans 16:17-18<\/a>), or tell us <span style=\"color: #993300;\">heresies are works of the flesh<\/span>, to later tells us we are carnal\/fleshy if we avoid them?\u00a0 that would be a terrible contradiction, it wouldn&#8217;t make any sense. For this &amp; many other verses we find in the bible, we know <span style=\"color: #800000;\">God want us to guard sound doctrine.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;<span id=\"en-AKJV-29903\" class=\"text Titus-1-10\">For there are<strong> many<\/strong><b> unruly and vain talkers and deceivers<\/b>, specially they of the circumcision:\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-29904\" class=\"text Titus-1-11\"><b>whose mouths must be stopped<\/b>, who subvert whole houses,<span style=\"color: #993300;\"> <b>teaching<\/b><\/span> things which they ought not, <b>for <\/b>filthy <b>lucre\u2019s sake.\u00a0<\/b> &#8230; <\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-29904\" class=\"text Titus-1-11\"><span id=\"en-AKJV-29906\" class=\"text Titus-1-13\">This witness is true. Wherefore <b>rebuke them sharply, <\/b>that they may be sound in the faith;\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-29907\" class=\"text Titus-1-14\">not giving heed to Jewish fables, and <u>commandments of men, that turn from the truth<\/u>.<\/span><\/span><i><span id=\"en-AKJV-29904\" class=\"text Titus-1-11\">&#8220;<b> <\/b><\/span><\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20170409041028\/https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Titus-1-10_1-14\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span id=\"en-AKJV-29904\" class=\"text Titus-1-11\">Titus 1:10-14<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-AKJV-23333\" class=\"text Matt-7-16\"><span id=\"en-AKJV-27656\" class=\"text Acts-20-29\">&#8220;For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous <b>wolves enter in among you<\/b>, not sparing the flock.\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-27657\" class=\"text Acts-20-30\">Also of your own selves shall<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong> men<\/strong> arise<\/span>, <span style=\"color: #993300;\">speaking<\/span> perverse (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bibletools.org\/index.cfm\/fuseaction\/Lexicon.show\/ID\/G1294\/diastrepho.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">G1294<\/a>= distort, corrupt ) things, <b>to draw away <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #993300; text-decoration: underline;\">disciples<\/span> after them<\/span>.\u00a0<\/b><\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-27658\" class=\"text Acts-20-31\"><b>Therefore watch<\/b>, and remember, that by the space of three years<em> <b>I ceased not to warn<\/b> every one night and day with tears&#8221;.\u00a0<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20221012194643\/https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Acts-20-29_20-31\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Acts 20: 29-31<\/a><\/span> <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Sound doctrine is teaching that agrees with the Bible.<\/span><\/strong> Here are some more bible verses that emphasize that we should continue or hold fast to the<strong> same doctrine<\/strong> of the apostles, which is simply what Jesus taught them:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>And they <strong>continued stedfastly<\/strong> in the apostles&#8217; <span style=\"color: #993300;\">doctrine<\/span> and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20240410070250\/https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Acts-2-42\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Acts 2:42<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-AKJV-29902\" class=\"text Titus-1-9\"><\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-29823\" class=\"text 2Tim-1-13\"><strong>Hold fast<\/strong> the form of<span style=\"color: #993300;\"> sound words<\/span><strong>, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus<\/strong>.<\/span> 2 Tim. 1:13<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-AKJV-29764\" class=\"text 1Tim-4-16\"><strong>Take heed<\/strong> unto thyself, and unto the <span style=\"color: #993300;\">doctrine<\/span>;<strong> continue<\/strong> in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20240406061428\/https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/1-Timothy-4-16\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1 Tim. 4:16<\/a><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-AKJV-29902\" class=\"text Titus-1-9\"><span id=\"en-AKJV-29900\" class=\"text Titus-1-7\">For a bishop (<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20160724070240\/http:\/\/www.bibletools.org:80\/index.cfm\/fuseaction\/Lexicon.show\/ID\/G1985\/episkopos.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">G1985<\/a>=overseer) must be blameless, as the steward of God<\/span><strong>. . .\u00a0 holding fast the <\/strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\">faithful word<\/span><strong> as he hath been taught,<\/strong> that he may be able by <span style=\"color: #993300;\">sound doctrine<\/span> both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20240516183334\/https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Titus-1-9\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Titus 1:9<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-AKJV-30655\" class=\"text 2John-1-9\">Whosoever transgresseth, and <strong>abideth not<\/strong> in the<strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\"> doctrine of Christ<\/span>,<\/strong> <strong>hath not God<\/strong>. (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Jude-1-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jude 1:3<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<span id=\"en-NKJV-29287\" class=\"text Eph-4-14\">..that we should <strong>no longer be children, <\/strong>tossed to and fro and carried about with <u>every wind of<span style=\"color: #993300;\"> doctrine<\/span>, by the trickery of men<\/u>, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,<b>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><span id=\"en-NKJV-29288\" class=\"text Eph-4-15\">but, <span style=\"color: #993300;\">speaking the<b> truth <\/b><\/span>in<b> <\/b><\/span><span id=\"en-NKJV-29288\" class=\"text Eph-4-15\">love, <strong>may<\/strong> <strong>grow up<\/strong> in all things <strong>into<\/strong> Him who is the head\u2014<strong>Christ<\/strong><\/span><em><span id=\"en-NKJV-29288\" class=\"text Eph-4-15\">\u2014<\/span><\/em><span id=\"en-NKJV-29289\" class=\"text Eph-4-16\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingjamesbibleonline.org\/Ephesians-4-14_4-16\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ephesians 4:14-16<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<span id=\"en-AKJV-29749\" class=\"text 1Tim-4-1\">Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times <b>some shall depart from the faith, <u>giving heed<\/u><\/b> to seducing spirits, and <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>doctrines<\/strong><\/span> of devils. <span id=\"en-AKJV-29750\" class=\"text 1Tim-4-2\">speaking lies in hypocrisy<\/span>&#8221; vs. 5.<\/span><strong><span id=\"en-AKJV-28416\" class=\"text 1Cor-3-5\">\u00a0 &#8211; <\/span>We don&#8217;t belong to any men<\/strong>, nor to the ministers or servants\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-28416\" class=\"text 1Cor-3-5\"> through <\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-28416\" class=\"text 1Cor-3-5\"><span id=\"en-NIV-28416\" class=\"text 1Cor-3-5\"> whom we came to believe<\/span> in Christ. They brought Jesus gospel to us. They are just laborers through whom we believed, not on whom we believed. <span style=\"color: #993300;\">N<\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-28432\" class=\"text 1Cor-3-21\"><strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\">o man should glory in men.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span> <strong>We belong to Christ alone.<\/strong><span id=\"en-AKJV-28416\" class=\"text 1Cor-3-5\"><span id=\"en-AKJV-28432\" class=\"text 1Cor-3-21\"><strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong> \u00a0<\/strong> <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-AKJV-28417\" class=\"text 1Cor-3-6\">&#8220;<em>I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><em><span id=\"en-AKJV-28418\" class=\"text 1Cor-3-7\">So then <strong>neither is he that planteth <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">any thing<\/span>, neither he that watereth<\/strong>; but <span style=\"color: #993300;\">God that giveth<\/span> the increase.\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"en-AKJV-28419\" class=\"text 1Cor-3-8\">Now he that planteth and he that watereth <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>are one<\/strong><\/span>: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/em><span id=\"en-AKJV-28420\" class=\"text 1Cor-3-9\"><strong><em>For we are labourers together with God<\/em>&#8220;<\/strong>. vs 6-9.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-AKJV-28420\" class=\"text 1Cor-3-9\">We are one body, a team work. We might think Paul would be more kind to his own &#8220;fans\/followers&#8221;, but instead of letting their praise get to his flesh, Paul denounced fleshy followers and<strong> diminished himself &amp; exalts God. That&#8217;s what a true man of God would do,<\/strong> point people to God &amp; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not to himself.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>This is also a lesson for us, the contemporary Church: Christians must always center their loyalty, their love and devotion upon <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Jesus Christ and His word,<\/strong><\/span> not on individuals. No leader is to be the focus of Christian fellowship.
