In what culture? <\/span>Born in 907 BC, he reigned as king of Israel for 40 years, dying at age 70 in 837 BC. He was a farm boy, a shepherd &amp;\u00a0 a musician, then became a warrior &amp; a king. David had a heart for the Lord.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-blogger-escaped-style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">\n<p><span data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: normal;\"><span data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: normal;\"><b>C) &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>C<\/strong>ontext<\/span> \u2014 Book of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=%20Psalm%2023%3A1-6&amp;version=AKJV;KJV;RVR1960;MEV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Psalm, Chapter 23:1-6<\/a> The Christian sees in this Psalm a wonderful foreshadowing of <b>&#8220;The Good Shepherd&#8221; <\/b><strong>Jesus Christ<\/strong>, (<a href=\"http:\/\/biblehub.com\/kjv\/john\/10.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">John 10<\/a>) who gave His life for His sheep &amp; watches over them even now.<b>\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"poetry\">\n<p><span id=\"en-AKJV-15462\" class=\"text Ps-95-7\">For <span style=\"color: #800000;\">he <i>is<\/i> our God<\/span>; <\/span><span class=\"text Ps-95-7\">and we <i>are<\/i> the people of his pasture, <\/span><span class=\"text Ps-95-7\">and the <strong>sheep<\/strong> of his hand. , &quot;times new roman&quot; , serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\" data-blogger-escaped-style=\"color: black;\"><span data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-size: normal;\"><span data-blogger-escaped-style=\"font-weight: normal;\"><span class=\"st\">ferocious animals and have no ways to defend themselves from any predators, they depend on their shepherd for survival. The shepherd will use his staff to gently lift a newborn lamb and bring it to its mother if they become parted. He does this because he does not wish to have the ewe reject her offspring if it bears the odor of his hands upon it.
