7 \u201cBefore<\/strong> she was in labor, she gave birth;<\/span>
\nBefore her pain came,<\/span>
\nShe delivered a male child<\/span>.<\/span>
\n8 Who has heard such a thing?<\/span>
\nWho has seen such things?<\/span>
\nShall the earth be made to give birth in one day?<\/span><\/span>
\nOr<\/i> shall a nation<\/span><\/strong><\/span> be born at once?<\/strong><\/span>
\nFor as soon as Zion was in labor<\/strong>,<\/span>
\nShe gave birth to her children<\/span>.<\/span> (Is. 66:7-8<\/a>)<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Zion<\/strong><\/span> is a place in the Bible used as a synonym for Jerusalem<\/span><\/strong>. It was this CITY<\/strong><\/span> that gave birth to sons (a nation).<\/p>\n

I know many evangelical Christians believe the nation that was born in one day<\/strong> is the ‘state’ of Israel in 1948. I was also taught this and I believed it myself. But many years later I was presented with a different interpretation that in context makes more sense. See more here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Notice there are 2 different births, one before labor pain of a man child<\/strong> & another one of Zion\/Jerusalem<\/span> giving birth during labor time, but gives birth to children, a nation<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n

The ‘son’ on vs 7 is no doubt Jesus the Messiah<\/strong> (Isa.7:14<\/a>, Rev.12:5<\/a>), but the nation born in one day<\/span> was His Church, born on the day of Pentecost, in Jerusalem<\/span><\/strong> <\/span>(Lk 24:49, <\/span>Acts 1:4-5, 12-14 & 2:1-14).<\/a> But because it is a spiritual<\/strong> birth not physical, it is from above<\/strong>, is heavenly (<\/strong>John 3:3<\/a>)<\/strong>, made of people from all nations, tribes & languages (Rev.7:9, Is.56:7<\/a>, etc).<\/p>\n

“9\u00a0<\/sup>But you are<\/i> a chosen generation, a royal priesthood<\/strong>, a holy nation<\/span><\/strong>, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;<\/span> <\/span>” 1 Peter 2:9<\/a>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Why would the prophecy of Isaiah<\/a> talk about Jesus<\/span><\/strong> & then skip almost 2,000 yrs later to mention the birth of a mostly secular<\/a> nation that wants nothing to do with Him<\/span><\/strong>?<\/p>\n

Let us see more reasons why the 2nd interpretation makes more sense:<\/p>\n

Notice there was no Gaza strip at the time of Jesus, all that land was part of Judea. I was told that the strip were descendants of the Philistines (God’s enemies). Even it’s true that 1,200 yrs<\/strong> or more before Jesus<\/span>, a small north part<\/a> of that land<\/a> belonged to the Philistines (from Tel Aviv to Gz city<\/a>-not the strip of today), but it’s also true that many generations had already passed, & there were no more Philistines there, & all the inhabitants at the time of Jesus were living in peace, as well as the people on that land right before the UN division<\/span><\/strong>, even there were different cultures & different religions practiced at the time that it was divided<\/strong> (it wasn’t an empty land).<\/p>\n

The Gz strip that we know today was formed in the 20th century<\/span>, 1947-1948, when the UN divided the land<\/span> (which was under Britain) into 2 states<\/strong> & a 1 neutral capital<\/span> Jerusalem, that with its many different religious communities, would become an \u201cinternational city<\/strong>\u201d governed separately, but that today it’s under Israeli leadership<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The interest for a return to the land started after the church Reformation in the 17th<\/strong> century. Contemporary Israeli historian Anita Shapira suggests that England’s Z10nst<\/a> evangelical Christians “passed this notion on to Jewish circles<\/em>” around the 1840s. But the idea really started to take shape in 1882 when the lands of Palestine (& also Patagonia, Argentina<\/strong>) were considered as candidates for Jw settlement by T. Herzl<\/a>, (1)<\/a>, who later founded the World Z10nst. Org. <\/strong>(WZO) in 1897.<\/p>\n

Also in the 1880’s British banker Lionel Walter Rothschild & other family members got involved, bought some land & made small Jewish settlements, & in 1917<\/span> British Gov. declaration<\/a> was send to him promising to create a \u201cnational home\u201d for the Jewish people within Palestine. It took the plan many years,<\/span> & during WWII because of the Holocaust<\/a> things were expedited.<\/p>\n

The British handed the issue over to the newly (2 yrs.) established UN<\/strong>. Out of 56 UN members<\/a> (Nov.1947) 33<\/strong><\/a> of them approved the partition<\/span>, & this caused a civil war in the land. Then when Britain withdraw, Polish D. Ben-Gurion<\/a>, the Executive Head of the WZO at that time declared the establishment of the Isr. state<\/strong><\/span> on May 1948, but this caused even a bigger war<\/a>. Ben-Gurion from the beginning said in several occasions that the partition would be a first step to “possession of the land as a whole”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Then, all this history show us that this ‘state’ or nation wasn’t born in one day<\/strong><\/span> or at once<\/span>. Check also Micah 3:9-10<\/a>, truly there is nothing new under the sun. Check God’s answer for what they did, vs.12<\/a>.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Jews that believe in the Old Testament know they are forbidden to have their own state until the true Messiah comes & restores them (which the Antichrist will counterfeit). Reason why many of them until this day still oppose the state. Please pray for them<\/a>, who are also persecuted<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Word of God says about the capital<\/strong>, which today is under ‘Israeli’ leadership:
\n“Jerusalem<\/span> will be trampled by Gentiles<\/strong><\/span><\/span> until<\/span><\/span> the times of the Gentiles<\/span> are fulfilled<\/em>“. Lk 21:24<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The time of the Gentiles ends when the Church leaves<\/strong>. So that leadership aren’t true Jws. The Church won’t be here when the earthly city of Jerusalem won’t be trample by Gentiles.<\/p>\n

For some time I wondered why is there a ‘heavenly<\/strong> Jerusalem’<\/a> (Rev.3:12, 21:2<\/a>, etc.). See Lk. 21:20<\/a> earthly<\/strong> Jerusalem will be destroyed again. (Remember that city will be the Antichrist’s HQ & he will destroy other religions, which means there will not be Jewish temples, Christian churches or mosques in that place, but only 1 unique new temple where he will seat. Some are already preparing the way for him).<\/p>\n

It’s ok to love Israel & Jerusalem<\/strong>, but let us be very careful, we humans have a tendency toward idol worship & sadly many who consider themselves Christians some times create idols out of relics that were part of Christian history. Keeping into perspective let us not forget how the city is called at the end in the book of Revelation, when the 2 witnesses of God are killed by the Antichrist “Their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city,<\/strong> which spiritually<\/span> is called Sodom<\/a> and Egypt<\/span>, where also our Lord<\/strong> was crucified.<\/span><\/em>” Rev.11:8<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It is important to know the Scriptures, so you wont be easily deceived. Gal.4:24-26<\/a> says :<\/p>\n

“24 These things are an allegory, for these are the two covenants. The one is from Mount Sinai, which gives birth to bondage<\/span><\/strong>; she is Hagar<\/span>. 25 Now this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and represents <\/span>the present Jerusalem,<\/span> <\/span><\/strong>and <\/span>is in bondage with her children<\/span><\/span><\/strong>. 26 But the Jerusalem<\/strong> which is above<\/strong><\/span> is free, which is our mother.<\/span><\/em>“<\/span><\/p>\n

So the mother who gave birth to the children of a new covenant<\/span> (a holy<\/strong> nation<\/span>) is called Jerusalem<\/span><\/strong> but from above<\/span><\/strong><\/span>. Because the earthly Jerusalem is still in bondage<\/strong> with her children.\u00a0 -Our eyes & hearts should not be put on earthly & material<\/strong> things, but on Jesus (Heb.12:2<\/a>) & in spiritual<\/strong> things which are eternal (Titus 2:13<\/a>, 2 Cor.4:18<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Today that land is still divided in 3 parts<\/strong>. A ‘state<\/span>‘ is not necessarily a nation<\/em><\/span>, but a division <\/span>within a nation. And we know for sure God didn’t want His land to be divided<\/strong> (Joel 2:1-3<\/a>), to the point that He will judge the nations that did this.<\/strong> For that reason I doubt it was God’s hand behind the 1948’s division. That God has been bringing some of them back before 1948 & still after, there is no doubt, He will bring more of them back later in order to deal with them again in that land. But God doesn’t need help from men, remember what happened when Abraham tried to help God. We humans are experts in messing things up.<\/p>\n

I found out recently that the land were Jesus was born, Bethlehem, it belongs today<\/a> to Palestine, would Jesus be considered today a Palestinian? to most people living in that land He would be, or a Jew, or both? But, these material things are of a lesser importance, because we know He came from heaven<\/strong>, He is the Son of God & His kingdom is not<\/span> of this world<\/span><\/strong> (Jn.18:36<\/a>). Sadly many over there still reject Him\u00a0 & His Church. But again, when the fullness of the Gentiles<\/span> comes to an end, then their partial<\/strong> blindness of their hearts will be no<\/strong> more (Rom.11:25<\/a>) & then the ones left, a remnant<\/strong>, will be saved.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers<\/strong>: every man shall be put to death for his own sin<\/em>.” Deut. 24:16<\/a><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

Please pray for all<\/strong> the people that are suffering in that divided land<\/strong>, & pray for the release of all<\/strong> held captive in that country.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

Yes, the Lord will restore Judah, but this hasn’t happen yet<\/strong> (what we see over there is all man made), the true restoration<\/strong> (Joel 3<\/a>) will happen after the Church is gone, after they accept the antichrist as their messiah & then realize they have been deceived.<\/div>\n
\n

Mourning for the Pierced One<\/strong><\/p>\n

“10 \u201cAnd I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication;<\/span> then they will look on Me whom they pierced<\/span><\/span>.<\/strong> Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn. 11 In that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem<\/strong>, like the mourning at Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. 12 And the land shall mourn, every family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves” Zech.12<\/a><\/p>\n

This is what Jesus was referring to in Matt.23: 37-39<\/a> & Lk 13<\/a>. “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to you! How often would I have gathered your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing<\/strong>! 35 Look, your house is forsaken<\/strong>. Truly I say to you, you shall not see Me until<\/span> the time comes when you say<\/strong>, \u2018Blessed is He <\/strong><\/span>who comes in the name of the Lord.”<\/p>\n

Beloved, let us be prepared physically, mentally & mainly spiritually<\/strong> for what is soon coming our way. Don’t forget to walk being led by the Holy Spirit<\/span> of God & to keep your garments clean<\/span>, the Lord is coming soon!!\u00a0<\/strong> May our Precious Lord bless you & keep you from harm.<\/div>\n
